what's a reasonable price and where to book from?

4th of July week, if there is availability, a short stay (not 7-nights), you are probably looking at $150-$200 a night. Its not going to be easy I think because this is the 2nd busiest time of the year and 1-week rentals will take priority. Redweek is showing even higher rates for that time. I suspect room inventory is close to 0.

We've been happy with www.vacationupgrades.com, their prices are right on their web site. We've used them 3 times, and we've been very happy with the service and reliability. We're trying www.vacationstrategy.com for the first time for April, really just to try the competition not because we were unhappy with VU. Lots of reliable feedback on them as well. Better rates can be had out there, but I prefer the reliability of the better-known companies that rent. And the price is still so reasonable compared to Disney!

2bd atWBC July2-6 is on ebay for $800
If you can tweak your dates. If not at least the info gives you a bit of a price reference.

I bought a rental on ebay for next month, our first time purchasing on ebay, and everything so far has gone smoothly.

I contacted WBC last week and they confirmed my reservation.

My ebay seller is not the same seller as above but the July availability seller does have a 100% rating

I got a 2bd at WBC for 24Jun - 1 July for $189 a night thru vacationstrategy if that helps. Was the best available at the time. Most others were right at 200 a night.

If you are booking from an owner, the dates you are looking for are starting midweek during prime season are not available to book until 90 days out.

During Prime season, check ins are only allowed on Friday, Saturday, Sunday. $200 is the going rate and they are increasing. There are not as many Wyndham Points out there and the ones that are renting are getting top dollar for their units. I have seen them as high as $250-$300 for a 2 bedroom during holiday weeks.

Wyndham started a program last year where owners could give back their points to Wyndham. Wyndham has also started to crack down on mega renters and are going as far as suspending their accounts temporarily while they "review" the account. Some accounts have been on hold for months.
