What is a preffered room?

I've seen some posts referring to a preferred room. What exactly is that?

Preferred rooms are usually closer to the front of the resort, where you will find the restaurants, transportation, etc.

This! All preferred rooms will be in prime locations. In addition to transportation and restaurants/food courts, preferred rooms can be near the main pool and front desk. It's an up-charge and its a bookable category, so it cannot be requested.
