What is a HIDDEN MICKEY?

Hidden Mickeys are basically a signature from the Imagineers (it started as a joke). It is a Mickey hidden inside Disney attractions, they can be found in most of the rides as well as in resorts and various locations around property, they are usually one large circle with two smaller circles on top (like this but all black) but since the concept has evolved they can be more elaborate. The one in Splash Mountain for example is Mickey's full body side silhouette laying down in the form of a cloud.

They are a lot of fun to look for. Although I have to admit that I am Hidden Mickey Challenged and can usually not even see them when someone is pointing at them... If you have some time, maybe on a down day (if that even exists at WDW) The Wilderness Lodge has the Hidden Mickey Challenge. The front desk/ concierge will give you a list of clues and you can hunt for them through out the Lodge (inside and out) there are a lot of them there.

We love hidden mickeys... and you dont even have to be in WDW or DL to find them... my dh thought I was nuts because I would point out Hidden Mickeys all over the place.... now he does it too!!! There is also a book called the Hidden Mickey Book that I purchased last year for our trip... I thought it was fun because I was pregnant and I couldnt ride on alot of things so while my DH rode I hunted down those ears... Here is a picture of one from CSR....

Thanks for the Link! I've been trying to keep it up to date with any and everything that you ever wanted to know about Hidden Mickeys - and then some!

We love hidden mickeys... and you dont even have to be in WDW or DL to find them... my dh thought I was nuts because I would point out Hidden Mickeys all over the place.... now he does it too!!!

Yeah - It's especially bad right after returning from WDW - then I truly see HMs everywhere!!! Especially at the Grocery Store for some reason...

We bought the "Hidden Mickey" book several years ago, it passes the time when you stand in line and then try to find them on the rides. It's the best of 2 worlds.

The Mickey's are all over the Resorts, and Parks. You will be surprised how many you find without even trying to look for them, look on the floor, walls, and ceilings.

I saw one just today! I was at a stop light and noticed that the wires conneting it to the cable were in two circles and the red light made the third for his head.

Once you discover what they are, you see them EVERYWHERE!

Ain't that the truth. DS5 had fifth disease(one of the harmless childhood illnesses that cause a lacy like rash all over the body) a few weeks ago and we were trying to find hidden mickey's on him. We never found one but some came close. DH just shook his head at us and walked away.

I freckle really bad instead of getting a nice, smooth tan. I was looking for HM's in my freckles the othe day!
