Your kids are so cute.

I really love the vacation home you're renting.

And congrats on paying off the house:banana:

Thanks Guys! Now I just need my parents to give me their portion! I want it before they decide to back out on me again!

We have used vacation homes four times and have our next one already booked and paid for too. We are going October 4-11, we use Alexander Florida Holiday Homes. The house we have for October is located in the Formosa Gardens area, just minutes from the park. We got a four bedroom/three bathroom excutive level home for $750 for the entire week. This trip we are only four going. Being able to prepare meals at home will save you time and money. We always do a big breakfast which holds us to late afternoon for lunch.

Hi Ray!

Wow! We are going the exact same dates! Have you rented in Formosa Gardens before? I chose Windsor Hills because I thought the neighborhood on a whole offered a lot. It has a neighborhood pool and playgrounds and stuff. Does Formosa Gardens offer that kind of stuff?

Are you going to wear a lime green mickey so I can spot you in the crowds? :flower3:

Hey Dis-ers!

So my trip has been hardcore on my mind today! We had a discussion about what else we'd like to do down there. I have read some stuff about The Titanic Experience. My kids have a fascination with Titanic. They have picked out several books about it and love the movie. I think they would be very moved by the experience. Has anyone tried it?

http://www.titanictheexperience.com/

Tonight Ashley and Darren went to friends house for a sleepover so Phil and I took Lauren out to dinner! We went to the King of Prussia mall and had dinner at Ruby's Diner! It was fantastic! Then we walked around the mall and I saw some cute stuff for the trip!

In FIVE BELOW I found a super cute minnie mouse totebag. In their game section I found Disney travel games! They had both Mickey Mouse and Disney Princess ones. They are a cute little carrying case. When you open the case it has checkers in it, but a pegged version! In the Mickey case the game had little mickey mouse's to move instead of chips! It's so cute! The princess one had princesses instead of chips! They were only $5 each!

We also went to The Disney Store..of course! They a lof of stuff on sale. The kids t shirts were only $2.99! I got Ashley a Hannah Montana shirt and Darren got a Phineas and Pherb shirt! Lauren passed on a shirt and picked out a Wall-E visor! It looks sooo cute on her! I told her all of the stuff is for our trip next summer and she has to put it in the "Disney Bag"!

I have a huge bag that hangs with the coats! It is always filled with stuff for upcoming trips and the kids are not allowed to look in it! They know if they are caught that I will throw it all away so they dare not look! I have some great stuff in there so far! The stuff we got tonight will be added! Little do they know that they will get it all in 77 days! In my husbands trunk is 5 new disney beach towels for our private pool! I got them just prior to our local disney store closing. I'm so sad that it's gone. We had to drive to a different mall tonight in order to visit the disney store.

I've already started thinking about packing! Trying to decide what clothes to bring and what to skip! I'm so happy I don't have to worry about luggage on the plane! Since the week prior to our trip is a school week I can secretly take everything to my mom's house and load up their van! It's so nice of them to drive all of our stuff down!

Well..it's pretty late..1 am! See ya'll later! http://www.fivebelow.com/

Awwww..nobody has checked in today. That's ok! I am taking my kids to my parents house for dinner. Hopefully I can add some stuff tonight!

Bye!

That house looks really cool, my DD would never want to get out of bed with that TV right there, and if she did she would be in the pool. I think I would have punched DH if he had done that to me. Sounds like you have good plans so far, cant wait to hear more. The picture of your son sitting on the curb is hilarious.

Hey Bellasmommy!

Thanks for hitting me back! I'm hoping they are too tired to watch the TVs at night and too excited to hit the parks to watch them in the morning!!!!

I need to get more planning underway! The countdown clock is running down fast! It's funny..I've never wanted summer to end so fast, but knowing we head to WDW in early October makes me want it to end TODAY!

Loving your pre-trippie so far and subin in! :)

My DS didn't want to go this time either. In march, I said, Hey, let's go to Disney this summer! And he said, "NO! I want to go to ENgland!!!" Well too bad for him because mama makes the plans and we went to England last year. He's well psyched for it by now. I bought him the Birnbaum's book for kids and we read it lots together. I'm sure your Darren had a brilliant time even though he thought he didn't want to go...someday he will look back on that and wonder if he was crazy!! :confused3

Looking forward to reading more! We are planning to stay in a villa at Christams 09 for the first time; meeting all dh's family from the UK for Christmas. That house looks awesome.

Keep it coming! :surfweb:

Hi Tinkerbeth!

Aren't some little boys just so strong minded?! It's like they think they know what they want all the time, when in reality they have no clue! He did finally have a good time but it's basically like Snow White having to coax grumpy into having any fun! Oh well..! haha

Hey, I just joined your trip report and everything sounds awesome!!! You and your family are too cute!!!:goodvibes

Tell me about it, I hate to wish for my DD to be older, as it is going so fast. But I want Dec. to be here already!!! so does she..

Signing on!
I too have 2 girls and a boy. My girls are 10 (she'll be 11 on August 1), 8 and my son just turned 6 a few days ago. We went in March with my parents and back in December 2006 we did their first trip. It too was a suprise and we told them the night before. Priceless! I know how hard it is to keep such a secret though! You just want to scream it out sometimes! LOL!

Your vacation house is absolutely beautiful!

Allyson :)

Yeah we use words to describe Gabe like "spirited" and "determined". He's going to rule the world some day! I saw a t-shirt on a little boy today that said, "My parents are exhausted." and I thought - I want one of those!! :) Loving your PTR so far. Keep up the great work!

We are planning to take my babysitter/awesome friend soon too. I told her I'd take her for her University Graduation and she can help out one or two nights. and one of these days dh and I are going solo... but every time I start to plan a solo trip anywhere, I think about how much the kids would like it and count them in too. I'm a softy. :lovestruc

Call me Mrs. Softy! I know all about it! We had once thought about getting the premium plan for all of it's extras..including the free child care. But the fact is..I don't want to leave them at a kids club! I want to take them with me everywhere I go!

I am so happy Britt is coming with us. She has become part of our family. We met her when she was in fifth grade and now she is going on 17! I remember when she was younger I told her she had to be in at least 6th grade to babysit! I don't know where the time has gone!

Hi Allyson!

Keeping this secret is killing me lately! We went to the old country buffet for breakfast this morning and my dad almost let it slip! We have decided to skip trying to see any sights in DC prior to our flight. Dis-ers on the transportation board basically thought I was nuts! They said even on a Saturday the traffic could be at a crawl.

I could really use some cute suggestions for when, where, and how to surprise the kids!!!!

74 days to go!

I need to think of the perfect time to surprise my kids. I'm thinking maybe the morning of our depature!

I was thinking....taking the kids out to breakfast and as they are kind of finishing up tell them to hurry because we have some place to be! The restuarant is next to five below...I think I might tell them they have five minutes to go in five below and pick out something to play with on the plane. When they say what plane thats when we can tell them about Disney World! :cool1: :thumbsup2
