What is a good present for someone honeymooning in Disney?

My cousin is ging to Disney for her honeymoon. I was thinking of doing somehting there for her instead of getting her a traditional gift off of her registry. I have some ideas - send wine/chocolate to the room, spa treatments, champagne to their dinner table. But I don't know if tyhey have a set time plan for the trip - if they do spa treatments might throw them off. I guess they can't have every hour planned, right?

They're staying at the GF for a week. What would you guys want?

When are they going? Disney is doing a Honeymoon registry starting some time this month. If you have some time maybe you can suggest it to them and they can register? Or I know I would love to check into my room and see a treat waiting for us. Maybe you could order them the bride and groom ears through disney merchandising and have them delivered to their room?

Since you frequent the boards, maybe you can ask some general questions about her planning style without arousing too much suspicion. Then you'll have a better idea of whether or not you'll be conflicting with their plans by making some sort of time-sensitive arrangements. Some ideas that are time-sensitive are tickets to Cirque du Soilel, dinner at Victoria and Alberts, etc.... or if you'd rather not do something that affects their schedule, call GF catering and arrange something to be in their room some night of their trip- chocolates, champagne, etc. What a thoughtful gift idea!

Darn. I thought the Cirquue tickets were a great idea, but when I checked it's closed the week they'll be there. That's too bad - I have a friend from my old job who knows lots of people who work at Cirque. I could have asked her for a specil backstage pass or something!

...but, my husband and I had mixed feelings about some of the "creative" or "surprise" gifts that we got from people for our wedding. We were left kind of wondering... "We registered for items that we really wanted. Why did people try and "guess" on other items to give to us?" It left us feeling as though they didn't want to bother looking at our registry. In fact I'm almost positive that a couple of people wrapped up something that they found in their garage and gave it to us. Anyway...my point is, maybe they'd really prefer something from their registry instead.

I totally understand. The same thing happened to us when we got married and when we had babies. I just remember hearing about people doing things like this on someone's honeymoon and thought it was cute. I mean, they wouldn't think t ask for a massage or a bottle of good champagne on their honeymoon. I think I'll talk to her brother and see what he thinks (I can't ask her mom because she can't keep a secret!) Maybe I'll get them something off their registry and then just do something small at Disney - like the bottle of wine to their room or something.

Oh - and yesterday I got them an engagement card (I couldn't find a good shower card) with Cinderella and Prince Charming on the front. I'm taking it with me to Disney this weekend and I'm goig to have all the princesses sign it! Or maybe I'll have everyone sign it, hmmm....I have to decide that tonight. Her favorite has been Snow White since she was a little girl so I have to find her!

What about Disney Dollars? They don't expire and I know they make the perfect present for me! They could spend them at Disney how they see fit. Just an idea I thought I'd throw out.

What about finding out where they have an ADR one night and calling the restaurant with your credit card # - so they'll be surprised that someone (you) picked up the tab?
