Hi,

I am trying to be organised and book for the end of January. Flights out of Toronto are crazy so I looked at JetBlue out of Buffalo and right now my dates are $210 pp. Compared to Toronto that looks cheap but is that a decent price or should I hang on for a sale or Southwest? People here keep telling me they wait and fly for $79 from Buffalo but I am sceptical.

Thanks.

The days of 79 dollar fares are looonnnggg gone. Are you talking 210 each way or 210 total?
210 total and I would hop on it in a minute! 210 each way and you are likely to find lower when Southwest comes out.
We booked Jetblue down to Orlando, and Southwest back for about 230 per person once I got a credit from Southwest and I am very happy with that.

I booked a $69 flight once ....oh those were the days. I say to DH that you can't compare to what we used to pay (Air Tran is my fav!) but you have to compare what's the going cost when you wan to go. We have done Air Tran out of Detroit and Buffalo quite a few times but Delta won this year! It's also about who has baggage costs! Ugh!:wizard:

I have been watching southwest out of buffalo for about 4 months now. the lowest I saw was 270 pp RT. And those were not the flight times I preferred. I wound up buying airfare out of Pittsburgh which is about a 4 hour drive for us. I got 206 pp RT from there with both nonstop flights, early morning down, late evening back. there are five of us flying so even after the expense of driving down we are still saving money. I am disappointed as the last three times we flew we did much better out of buffalo. And they eliminated the late nonstop flight into Buffalo as well. I will keep watching since we don't go until August. Nice thing with Southwest is if the flights through buffalo go down, I can change without a fee. If that 210 is RT, I would jump on it. Especially on JetBlue. It is so nice flying with them, free seat assignments, tvs, snacks and a free bag each...:) Good luck :thumbsup2

We're going in Oct., and for 3 people, it came to around $797 round trip, BUF to MCO. The flight is on AirTran and is a direct flight. It was the best price we could find but we only waited a few weeks before booking.

The $210 price is one way, I've been stalking JetBlue prices for awhile. Last week i managed to get a nonstop fight for $110 to MCO, hoping this week prices drop below the $205 mark for the return flight. Gonna give it till Friday...fingers crossed. Air Tran seemed to have the cheapest rates (by about $10) but we really prefer JetBlue.
