What is a good brand of sunscreen?

We are going on the Western in November and I want to buy a good sunscreen. I am sometimes sensitive to certain sunscreens and I also want something that is a good SPF. Any recommendations I would appreciate it!
THANKS!

I've always found the Coppertone Sport ones to work well. Tried the new spray one when we were down in WDW a couple of weeks ago and it worked great!

I love Ocean Potion Sport 30. It goes on easy and last for a long time. It is hard to find where I live. I also buy the OP for faces. I too am sensitive and this seems to work well for me.

However, we have lots of lotions for the summer. I have Coppertone, Ocean Potion, Hawaiian Tropic and we have Banana Boat.

I LOVE COPPERTONE SPORT GEL!!! I golf 4-5 times a week and use it all the time. It dries quick and is not sticky at all. I hate sunscreen and this is the only one I will use.

Doesn't the sport gel have alcohol in it? I am not sure. I can not use sunsreens with alcohol in them. They promote heat rashes. You should have seen my legs at WDW a few weeks ago and from what I was told it was the alcohol based sunscreen. While they go on easily I have to be careful of them. My family can use them, I just can not. They also will dry out and damage your skin.

For sensitive skin try the Neutrogena sunscreen available in a 15 and higher. I have used this as well as my dd who has eczema. Neither of us has had any problems even putting it on the face.

Every sunscreen I have used worked fine as long as the SPF was high enough.
I get burned with anything less than SPF 30, so always buy SPF 45 or higher. Yes, I know there is some debate about how much more protection you get with a number that high, but all I know is if I use a higher number I don't burn. And the brands I buy are all priced the same no matter how high the SPF.
Only issue I have with Coppertone is it is so thin I waste a lot because it runs all over the place. My wife doesn't like the fragrence either, so I usually buy an unscented brand.

Does anyone know of a good FACE sunscreen that does not burn? DH and I were in agony last year after using Coppertone (the one in the blue container).

Two Words --- BULL FROG. This is an excellent sunscreen and it is an all day one.

I also like the Copertone Sport (it works well) The new continuous spray one does not last long (we have already gone through one container of it)

I have a pool so we have to stock up on sunscreen. My children are very fair skinned and burn easily.

There is another one that is very hard to find called Aloe Gator (and 'Lil Gator for the kids) This is another all day waterproof sunscreen that works incredibly. No burning--in fact one time with my daughter we missed a spot on her and she had a terrible burn stripe where there was no sunscreen. The rest of her did not have anything at all. I swear by either the Gator or Bull Frog.

Ditto. DD has always has EXTREMELY sensitive skin. Neutragena was recommended by our pharmacist and it works wonder. It is a little tough to rub in but it stays on for a very long time. We recently found Banana Boat for sensitive skin and it seems to be doing a good job as well.

I love coppertone sport in the continueous spray...it goes on so quick that its not trouble with my daughter...usually she hates standing there while you rub the other stuff in!

I use the Avon skin-so-soft sunscreen, spf 30/bug repellent. For me it is an excellent all around protector, biking, swimming, picnics...

I use the higher as well on my son. It may not do anything more but he definitely does not burn.

I just bought this in the wipes they are aweome!!

BULL FROG!!!! And...if you have kids, the Bull Frog for kids in the gel is GREAT! I tried the spray one and it didn't work as well, but I can put the gel on my son once and it lasts as long as we are in the sun and he doesn't burn.

I gotta put the third vote in on Bull Frog we have a pool and it works the best. My kids are pretty fair skinned and it works great the whole day for them!!

My skin must be really strange ...even the Neutrogena breaks me out. While the rest of the gang can use anything and everything....they love the continious spray sunscreen.

The best I have ever used is the Ocean Potion Face sunscreen spf45

Think I might go buy some Bullfrog and give it a try.

Where can you buy Bull Frog at? I have never seen it! Also Ocean Potion, never heard of that either.

Thanks Jsme about the heat rash info, I have gotten that before and never realized it could be from the lotion.

Bull Frog gets my vote as well. Both my DS and I have extremely sensitive skin and this has never bothered us. Both waterproof and sweatproof and no stinging feeling or irritation. I buy my Bull Frog at Walmart. They have lotion, gels, and spray ons. I have them all and they all have worked great for us.

Good Luck. Remember to bring a hat!
