What is a 'Featured Forum'?

I was skipping around the DIS site, as I do every week or so, just keeping abreast of changes, etc, and I stopped by the Main Forum Menu page. I noticed in the right column that several boards were listed as 'Featured Forums', but no explanation as to what the feature was. Did I miss an announcement, what are 'Featured Forums'?

Don't know, I just figured they were forums they would like people to visit and get to know if they don't go to them already.

I noticed that my favorite forum is one of the featured forums. I wonder what it means?

It's just a forum we are "featuring" on the home page! Nothing complicated

Ummm...they're forums that Pete wants to feature? As in "to give special prominence to" -- per the dictionary definition. Pretty much what Princess Michelle said.
