Hello,
Going in Dec and have read several posts mentioning avoiding the bag lines at attractions. What are they? Also, how does Priority seating happen? Do I make the resv. now or when I get to disney? We heard about a restraunt where you can dine by an aquarium. Which place is that?
Thanks for your help!

The aquarium restaurant is called the Coral Reef. It is part of The Living Seas in Epcot. I went there with my fiance and it is a nice experience but the food is just ok.

Well, I can answer two out of three of your questions. Not sure I know what a bag line is though. First of all, priority seating is not a reservation in the traditional sense. It guarantees that you will be seated, but not necessarily at the time given (although I have never had to wait more than about 20 min...off season). Depending on the time of year you are going, the time of day you are going and the restaurant you are dining at, you will find out whether it is more desireable to get priority seating in advance (sometimes well in advance) or to get them when you arrive. If possible, I would suggest ASAP. Can't go wrong in any case. There are only a few restaurants that require a non-refundable deposit (in the form of a CC #) if you do not keep your reservation or cancel within 24 hours. So you might as well make them now.

The Coral Reef restaurant is the one with the aquarium.

Hope this helps.

re: bag line, I wonder if you're thinking of the security checkpoint outside the parks? Folks that have backpacks or other bags have to go through and get their bags checked for potentially dangerous items. Those who don't have bags can go through a different line. I don't know of a "bag line" at any of the attractions.

I think you are right, the bag line is the checkpoint outside the park as you enter.

My understanding is that the term Priority Seating is history. It has been renamed Advance Dining Reservations. I think the reason is that, in the last few years especially, regular restaurant reservations at larger restaurants nationwide have become more like what Priority Seating was: You've got a slot reserved, but not a specific table at a specific time. Rather, you get the next available table of your party-size after your reservation time. Since restaurants no longer hold tables for parties that are coming in soon, or perhaps even already late, the restaurant can satisfy more patrons with lower wait times overall. Since restaurant reservations have become what Priority Seating always was, it made sense that Disney simply revert back to the more traditional word.

Yes, the bag line is for entering the park. People who aren't carrying bags can go through a separate, faster line. "Bag" includes bags of any size, as far as I could tell - fanny pack, camera bag, shopping bag, etc.
