Hi, we are going the 1st 2 weeks of october this year, only been in may before, Can anyone tell me what the weather and crowds are like ?

Thanks :hippie:

I will be there too! Where are you staying?

we went last october 7th-26th also been 23rd-6th nov.
its is still very hot! not as humid and not that crowded, depends on whether your there when its half term! all in all we prefer it to any other time, and you have the added bonus of seeing how the usa celebrate halloween!

I'll be there then too! 6th - 20th. I've been from the 10th Oct -10th of Nov before and it was still hot, a good hot not an unbearable hot, and we could take a stroll at night with a light jacket on, was still lovely and warm at night.

We went last week Sept and first 2 weeks Oct. The weather instantly changed for the better on the 1st October (weird) and it was still really warm but not as humid. We didn't need jackets or fleeces at night and really liked the weather.

we stayed last October 5th - 12th.
Like others have said the weather was still lovely... and we found that rather than the daily big thunder storms that we were used to in the summer months, there were longer rain showers at about 4-6pm every few days instead.
It was great to see the Magic Kingdom with the Halloween decorations. We found it was busier than when we went in early September, but generally there were few queues for rides.

You will also get to experience the Epcot Food & Wine festival which is fantastic!

We arrive on the 7th October for 10nights then move onto Clearwater for 5 nights. We were in Orlando 2 years ago in the September and the weather was very wet, my mate flew out late September and as the poster above mentioned he got great weather in the October.

Staying in the Holiday Inn on I Drive, can't wait:)

we went last year in october and year before and its my most favourite time to go it columbus day is October 12th we have noticed it is a bit busier then x

We've always found it a good time to go. A few years ago we went to Blizzard Beach on the Columbus Day BH Monday and left by 1pm as it was so crowded.
This year flew back on the Friday before Columbus day and found that there were no queues anywhere ( apart from the brand new rides).
Having to leave our holiday till later in October this year to cover the half term for the kids but from what everyone has said the weathers is probably gonna be drier that it in ens Sept/early Oct. We'll just have to put up withit being busier I suppose!:hippie:

we went early October last year and found the crowds fine, of course big queues for the normal attractions but the park wasnt feeling wall-to-wall with people and Universal was VERY quiet.

For us - we found the mornings and evenings very chilly (but then we live in a hot country year round) and had to actually go and get changed to watch the Epcot fireworks with jeans and sweaters.

Pools needed heating at the villa and we didnt even try the waterparks as for us would have been too cold to spend all day wet and in the open air.

Looks like October is the Month to go in, lets hope for us Brits the £ gets to about a $1.60 mark.

So excited:):)

People are often put off with the hurricane season but it is one of the best times to go. A lot quieter and very pleasent heat. You will have a blast.
