What is 1 unpopular opinion on fashion you have?

I wouldn’t wear Crocs if they were the only shoes on Earth.
I thought so too, ten years ago before chronic foot and knee pain narrowed my choices for me. I have to wear extremely lightweight shoes due to joint issues, so many of the cuter ortho shoes don't work. Crocs sandals it shall be. I'm just thankful to walk relatively pain free in them.

Men should never wear tank tops. I don't want to see your armpit hair, thanks. Tank tops on men look trashy as heck.

I agree...expect in Florida. We have a box labelled “Florida tanks” It’s the only time we wear them or this Northern family would melt in the summer.

Very obvious eyelash extensions...you don’t look good, you look fake

Pointed fingernails...just say no
Agree, agree and agree, and will also add I'm repulsed by those hideous, thick, square-ended acrylic nails.

Where white anytime you want. This nonsense about only doing so between Memorial and Labor day is just that. Nonsense.

Paying extra for pretorn jeans is silly.

Your bra straps should not be intentionally showing.

All of these, but especially the pretorn jeans. I just do not get the point. :confused3

I find the "dressing for occasions" debate interesting, too. I definitely agree with following the rules of the place you choose to go! (And I went to an event just last weekend that had me checking the website for a dress code and nagging DH and DS a bit to find appropriate things.) But I also sometimes don't choose a place because of exactly that. - I don't always enjoy dressing up, and really appreciate restaurants where the food is really good, but the atmosphere is casual.

Also... I hate that women don't wear hose any more. In the fall & summer, it's fine because I have a tan. But I'm really self-conscious of how my bare legs look in the winter & early spring.

Yep I think summer is fine for no hose. Somehow it looks unprofessional to me and plain silly in the winter in the North. Also I hate to see our newscasters in the winter wear sleeveless blouses, what the heck! That doesn't look right either, it's 10 below and they have a sleeveless shirt on:rolleyes:.

And I can't get over the people walking around in belly shirts and yoga pants who just shouldn't:scared:

In a winter climate like where we live, bare legs from October to March are really, really not a thing. You'd be considered crazy, and maybe even a little self-destructive. :cold: A lot of people do wear sleeveless blouses though, as an appropriate layer under a blazer, cardigan and down coat (worn all at once of course)! ;)

Probably because I am majorly, unintentionally folically challenged, I don't believe that Caucasian guys, for the most part, can carry off the shaved head look. None of us are anywhere near cool enough to carry it off.

Nobody was ever cool enough to carry off the pants hanging down way below the waist. I do find it comical to watch people trying to walk like that and especially trying to walk fast. Always make me chuckle.

Just because they make it in your size doesn't mean you should wear it.
Obviously bears repeating;).

UGH the Boho Chic look. You don't look cute. You look fat and homeless. Another hater of the shorts with the long skirt in the back. I saw someone wearing it at Wal-Mart and thought it was just the area. I was sadly mistaken.

:rotfl2:Early this spring I was in a nicer boutique-type place looking for a new evening outfit for a semi-formal business event. The clerk that was helping me tried to get me interested in one of those; black velvet shorts with a chiffon skirt. I completely cracked up imaging the look on my boss's face if I'd walked in wearing that abomination. :scared1:

My friend just wore one to a wedding and posted pics on facebook. She is stunning, but even she couldn't make that thing look good. I just kept my mouth shut. :ssst:

I think they can look nice--as long as you are 17 or younger.
