Ok DiSer's I have a friend who has a sister in law that is telling her to buy the $60 pass that lets you get to the front of the line at the ride at Disney. WHAT?

Anyone know what she is talking about. I was thinking maybe she was getting confused with Universal that has something called Front of the line passes. Anyone know what she might be thinking?

Oh yeah...I'm selling those on ebay! :duck:

I haven't heard of this....

Yet, another misinformed Disney Expert wannabe. She probably calls Animal Kingdom "Wild Kingdom".

There's no such thing at DW.

Does the Brooklyn Bridge come with the pass?? Let me go fish out my $60 worth of quarters!!!!

The other day, my dad was telling me about this guy he worked with that had an annual pass to get him into the parks - for just the restaurants.

I'm sure she is talking about Universal. Tell her that it is usually cheaper to actually stay a night at one of their resorts. Then you get two days (the day you check in and the day you check out) of FOTL (front of the line) passes for everyone in your party.

Seriously, though, I know a family who refused to use FastPass at Disney because they were not going to give Disney any more of their money!! :rotfl2:
Yeah - makes the FastPass line shorter for me!!! :hyper:

Disney, Universal....it's all the same thing, right? :headache:

She's probably talking about the Universal Express Plus pass. But keep your eyes open....she's probably not far wrong in the next few years.

even if she's talking about the EPP at Universal she's getting ripped off on the price. a 1 day - 1 park pass is $35.00, and that's peak season. :) in the off season they're as low as $15.00 I guess I've found a new second job selling passes on EBAY.

Yup. I agree. I think she's thinking about Universal. $60. What a rip-off!

I have a friend who's trying to plan her family's first trip to WDW (but doesn't want my advice or help.) She's convinced that the Dining Plan gets them a "front of the line" pass for all the restaurants and that she doesn't need to call ahead to make ADRs. :confused3

Oh man...On my next trip, I'm gonna stand in front of a FP machine and have people give me $60 to get a FP...I figure I'll be able to recoup the cost of the trip in about 2 hours. :woohoo: :lmao:

She must know the lady who asked me - which Disney Hotel is it that is Adults only - no kids. And insisted there was such a place!

How about that ocean view room I hear about all the time??
(as a travel agent, I hear this at least 2 or 3 times a year - people wanting an ocean view room onsite at WDW)

Maybe Universal has a $60 pass for a week or something? For a day or two, that is more than absurd! And it's not a true "front of the line" deal - just a shorter line. Wouldn't THAT be great? a pass to cut in front of even the fast pass people?? :lmao:

Well, this is true, but you have to promise not to go within 50 feet of any rides or attractions :lmao: :lmao: :teeth: and then pay extra to use the bathrooms!!!!! Better watch what you eat!

And when she comes back from her trip, she'll tell everyone she hated Disney- they wouldn't let her eat at any of the restaurants! Of course, it will be all Disney's fault- even though she didn't do any research or planning, lol.

And you just know she'll yell at you for not telling her about ADRs (after you tried and tried).

Aren't some people funny? :teeth:

I may not have this exactly right, but I do believe years ago(like 20) Disney did have a "dinning pass" for FL residents to allow them to access the restaurants in Epcot after 4pm. It may have been linked with an early version of the DDE for FL residents and was an attempt by Disney to beef up the restaurant traffic in the off season .This is all a bit foggy on my brain and certainly isn't available anymore . Maybe a real Disney veteran would remember this . :scratchin

last fall, FOTL Express Pack passes at universal came to about $52 per person for two parks for one day... so the $60 estimate is not far off... except it's not at wdw! LOL!

as another poster mentioned, we went w/the "get a room" instead plan and it gave us a place to take a nap, change our clothes after getting soaked on bluto's barge ride, and FOTL access all day and night! well worth the money!

bgdiznee ... You're not imagining things - The Epcot After 4 Pass still exists!

Epcot After 4 Pass - Florida Residents only - Unlimited admission to Epcot after 4pm. Proof of Florida residency required. This is an annual pass, not a one day ticket. Guests 10 and over $124.61 including tax; guests 3-9, $109.70 (From allearsnet).

It doesn't restrict your use of rides and attractions, though, but it seems to be aimed more at adults who want to enjoy Epcot's restaurants than anything else.
