What important thing have you forgotten???

A few yrs ago I forgot my debt card. My mother had to over night it to me thankfully my kids had cash on them for our trip so we had some money till I got my debit card.

I've gotten to the point on my trips that I have an excel spreadsheet with a check off for items that I need to bring. everything is on there including extra batteries, chargers, tweezers....anything and everything that I think I need. it has saved me several times and gets me to think in advance if there is anything special I might need to add to the list for any particular trip.

A few years ago, we got right to the airport (before getting to the parking lot) when I realized we had forgotten the annual passes. Thank goodness I like to be super early to the airport and that it was 5 a.m. in the morning, so we were able to get home and back (35 minutes each way) and make our flight. Our luggage didn't get there until later than evening though.

My husband. I went with a girlfriend for a quick trip and it just was not the same without my best buddy. :goodvibes

Not me, but my best friend did the following: She left all of her daughter's clothing at the rental house. She was so excited that even with the purchases she made, everything fit it the suitcases! Oops, the home's manager shipped them home, but she did feel so silly.

My DD and I were taking a quick girl's only trip for cheerleading competition and we had leftover days on our hopper passes from the previous trip (obviously before you had to buy the no expiration tickets). We realized when we got there that I left the hoppers at home. Luckily, we were expecting relatives to arrive 2 days later. The cheer competition was the first 2 days so we really didn't need them until the 3rd day anyway. Thanks goodness for family, because my husband was not looking forward to sending them to me FedEx.

I've forgotten my park tickets AND did not have a picture of the backs like we usually do! Luckily bought them through Undercover Tourist and they do make copies of the tickets. The faxed the info to the hotel and we were able to get the tickets reissued!

Also have forgotten:
- my daughter's lovey blankie- could not sleep w/out one when she was young so we went to the outlets and bought one
- shampoo
- extra shoes
- cardigan (it was a cold week too!)
- sunblock
- light up toys I purchased in advance

I also lost a bag at the airport after going through security. It had my twins' shoes and my spare shoes in the bag as well as our autograph books. Bought 3 pairs of crocs when we landed at Orlando!

I make up lists but always end up forgetting a thing or two because I'll forget about things I purchase months and months in advance.

we left northern Illinois in the wee hours of the AM, to avoid rush hour.
when we were about to reach champaign /Urbana (a few hours and a couple hundred miles) hubby realized he forgot his bathroom bag. with:

his spare eyeglasses
his new $2000 hearing aids
the digital camera
all his medications
:scared1:

we thought about having the neighbor who was feeding the cats mail it to the resort. but we wouldn't be there for a couple days . before we coulde pass another exit, we turned around. went all the way back home. grabbed it.
had to refuel the car. and NOW go through rush hour!!!!

we have a ritual. when we pull out of the driveway for a road trip, we join hands, pray for a safe journey, then hubby says "we're off!"

as we were about to pull out of the gas station a half block from our home (the 2nd time) I said "we're off!" and hubby said "oh, shut up!":rotfl2:

I left my squooshy pillow in a motel in southern IL on the way home. sigh, I still miss it. can't find one like it.

granted, this wasn't for Disney...
My son's team made it to Odyssey of the Mind State Finals this past year.
I was so obsessed with making sure that we had all of the props, costumes, paperwork, etc. I left EVERY single bit of our clothing at home, except for a small bag of pajamas and underwear.
We had everything on hangers because we were going to have a tight schedule and no time to iron anything. All hanging clothes were left laying on the bed.

Thank God for Target.
