What happens if Grandma's 12 hr scooter runs out of battery at one if the parks? Is there a place to temporarily "juice up", or do we have to go back to our resort to juice it up?
There are outlets if you look especially in restaurants. My mom uses a scooter so we have found them. However, unless you are logging very long days, the scooter's battery will probably be fine until you get back to the hotel.
As an aside, depending on the company the rental's number will probably be located somewhere on the scooter.
As said, it should last a full day. I have used one for a number of trips, logged a lot of distance and never came close to using up the battery. They should last a full day easily.
Just a tip in case Grandma isn't used to ecvs- to prolong your battery, any time she is stopped for more than a minute or 2, turn the key OFF. And of course, remove the key any time she leaves the scooter, even for a few minutes.
Make sure the ecv is the proper size. If she is at or over the weight limit, the battery will drain a lot faster.
Thanks all. This is our first time to use a ECV at the parks.
In fact, it's grandma's 1st trip to Disney World. Also her first ever time on a airplane. It ought to be interesting!
