I...am...soooooooooooo nervous......:scared:

Okay, so I LOVE LOVE LOVE Disney, and although I have been to Disneyland twice, going to Disneyworld has always been my dream from day one. So imagine my excitement when in February I realized I could afford to take my boyfriend and I :)

So now...here we are...several months later....and we leave on Friday.

And I am FREAKING OUT!!!!:scared1:

What if I don't have all the paperwork I need? What if our luggage gets lost? What if the restaraunts I made reservations at really aren't all that good? What if one of us gets sick? (It is a HUGE altitude change, we are from Colorado) What if what if what if??????? What if I have something in my checked luggage that I'm not allowed to have? What if something happens at the apartment while we're gone? What if one of the cats gets sick/hurt.....

I should be the most excited girl in the world right now....and instead all I can think about is the awful feeling in my stomach as I worry myself to death :sad2:

I have worries like this a lot. My daughter did get sick at disney last year, but... Now that I think back on our trip we had a couple of hiccups. My drivers licsense had expired and I didn't notice till I was at the airport! That was fun going thru security! Even though things didn't go perfectly, it was the best vacation of my life, looking back at all of the fun times we had and not dwelling on the bad things. So what, if something goes wrong? Is it the end of the world? NO. Will it ruin your whole trip? I don't think so. Just try to think about how much fun you are going to have!:goodvibes

What if you just go and have a good time sweets. If the food sucks go somewhere else, if the luggage gets lost go buy some cheap stuff at Walmart.
You need your photo id's, plane tickets, confirmation numbers. Everything else can be handled when you get there.:wizard: Your're gonna have a great time..you're a diser.:goodvibes

You guys are right, I should be getting ready to have a good time, it is Disney lol.

I think it is just because this is the first time I've ever planned a trip for myself, and the first time that just my boyfriend and I have gone, so we have no one to catch the things that we may forget. (We're both airheads, part of the reason we fell in love haha :lovestruc )

Thanks for the enlightenment :) I think I'm going to go take some Rolaids and try to chill haha.

My sister and I would always say "WHAT IF" then my dad would say..........................

"WHAT IF FROGS HAD WINGS.....THEN THEY WOULD NOT BUMP THEIR ???(butt) EVERYTIME THEY HIT THE GROUND"

I say this to my kids to this very day........

So my advice to you would be to do the best you can, and you are going to be in the most magical place in the world.

HAVE FUN

8 days until Disney....

I wouldn't worry about getting sick from the altitude change. I am in NM and am probably about the same altitude as you and I have never once gotten sick from the change. It's more a concern for someone coming from sea level to 5000 ft above sea level.

Just relax, have a drinky, everything will be fine.

our last trip, 6 weeks out, fil practically chopped all his toes off, wound up in a cast and had to be pushed all over the parks. The day before we left, my kiddo wound up with an ear infection...know what?? It was still an incredibly magically fun vacation. So, no matter what, you're going to be in Disney and it's all going to be fine

First off, don't worry.

Second off, make a list. A packing list of things you'll need or want to have with you.

As you pack, check off the list. Bring the checked-off list with you so you can add to it/subtract from it for your next trip and keep a copy on your computer for revisions.

As for the airport, your airline has a handy on-line section that tells you what you can and can't take on the plane in baggage and carry-on items.

Who is minding your pets for you? Make a list for them, like the vet's number and favorite toys. They'll be fine.

The hospital in Celebration is amazing. If either of you get sick, you'll be in good hands. Bring your current doctor's phone numbers with you and make sure you each know the other's allergies.

Go to the dining board and ask them opinions on your restaurant choices.

For the plane, you'll need your current ID's confirmation numbers, and the same for the hotel.

Did I miss anything?

I can help because I used to be you! Now, I travel all the time and even though I always overpack, my packing times have been greatly reduced due to my lists.

I had most of those fears before our trip too (except we don't have cats... just plants :flower3: ) All in all... you'll be fine. Just take a deep breath and re-make a list of things not to forget... make sure you've taken care of all of the things on those list... then don't worry so much. You're supposed to have fun, not a stroke  I wish you magic! :wizard:
