What if you had time to visit only one park?

Last week my family was in Orlando after a campus visit at the University of Florida (full scholarship for son). We only had one day to visit one of the parks and we settled on going to Magic Kingdom. If you only had one day in Orlando, what park would you choose?

Great news about your son. I would probably say Mk also, years ago I would have said Epcot, AK is not bad either. MGM is my least favorite.

that is what we do, each trip we go to the parks one day,
we start at the AK and ride only our favorite rides and then onto the next park, we also use wdw transportation when we leave the second park. AK is to far to wait for the bus, much faster driving and then start with transportaion. we usually end up in Epcot last park, great places to eat dinner.

Magic Kingdom. For all intensive purposes it was Walt Disney World when I was a child and is still the heart and soul of it.

EPCOT, absolutely.

Even with Eisner in charge it is a magical place...a bonafide, real live, actual, unique theme park. Even if it was modeled after the World's Fair (whatever happened to the World's Fair anyway?).

I would go tour the new rooms at SSR&S so that this thread has a DVC tie-in, then I'd go to downtown disney, play at DQ for the day, then skip over to PI and hang out there in the Adventurer's club drinking kungalooshes until I thought the colonel was real.

But that's just me.

Totally depends on what has opened since I have last been there and do I really want to see the new attraction.

Before last September I would have said Epcot, because I wanted to try Mission:Space.

Today I would say MK because I haven't seen Philharmagic yet.

If the Stunt Show opened tomorrow, I would have a debate... MGM for Stunt or MK for Philharmagic.

Of course they just opened then new walkway in Asia at AK past the new mountain they are building.

And they added stuff to the Living Seas since I have seen it last.

Oh.. this is a hard decision...

Well, AK is our favorite usually, but since "home" is BWV, I imagine on a 1 park trip we'd do Epcot, if only to have dinner there (oh yeah, and I'd like to finally get a chance to ride Mission: Space).

So my answer is Epcot.

I'm an animal freak so my first instinct was AK. But honestly, it wasn't quite as animally (I know that's not a word) as I would have liked. So, most likely MGM, even if just to ride TOT. From the first time I entered the "hotel", I was addicted. I want to live in that hotel! But then again Illuminations was what made me want to stay at Disney forever.

I'd probably go to MGM and ride TOT as many times as possible, and then hop over to Epcot to catch Illuminations!
