What if we miss or are late for an ADR on the DDP?

The subject pretty much says it all - what happens if we made an ADR and then, for whatever reason, aren't able to make it at the last minute (such that we don't have a chance to cancel it in advance)? If we're on the DDP, will they go ahead and take our credit away for that meal?

We have one ADR that will be pretty tight to make because it's so early (only time available), and I just wondered what would happen if we ended up not making it.

On a related note, what happens if we show up late? Obviously I know we can't show up 2 hours late, but what if we're 30 minutes late? Any thoughts? Thanks!

the only ones which you will be carged for are the ones which require a cc to hold Fantasmic packages and cinys to name 2 and cost taken from CC dot the ddp .The rest if there is a no show no credits will be taken of you
you sometimes get a grace pierod of about 15min

Nothing will happen if you don't show up to your reservation, unless its a pre-paid type restaurant such as CRT, the Polynesian Luau, a Fantasmic Dinner Package, or the Hoop De Do Revue. If you don't show up to these (and or don't cancel the reservation ahead of time), they don't take away any credits, they charge the credit card number you provided when you made these reservations (sometimes only a percentage of the price of dinner, sometimes $10 pp). (Not all ADRs require a credit card number when you make them- only some like the ones above- they specifically ask you for the credit card number when you call Disney Dining.)

I've been up to 15 minutes late to some reservations and everything was fine- I guess it depends on how busy the restaurant is. I think every hostess handles the situation differently.

Hope you have a great trip.

I was worried about long waits that I read about on the boards. We always checked in 15 minutes early and was always called right away to our table. We were 10 minutes late for an ADR for lunch at Rose and Crown. They didn't even bat an eyelash. That was the only place we then waited an extra 20 minutes. So I didn't mind.

We didn't make our 8:10 a.m. breakfast at Boatwrights on Easter. I forgot to call. I did call and cancel Trails End Buffet early in the morning and I cancelled Mama Melroses 3 days before since I didn't have a park hopper and we weren't going to MGM that day.

My cousin is habitually late! She was nearly 2 hours late for her CRT ressie and they still got her in. It was a special circumstance, but they did it. Also, we've been detained as well and have been over 45 mins late once and still got seated. We are on time or early 99% of the time, but they are very understanding and accommodating.

This past March we all got sick and on the Saturday we had ADR's at Sci-fi. DH and I were the ones that got sick that day. My DH was in the resort room all day and I tried to take the kids to DMGM that day. Let's just say after being sick 4 times the kids wanted to leave too. I got back to the resort and fell asleep and woke up 10 minutes before our ADR. I called and appoligized and the manager said no problem, another family will be happy. We ended up not paying for anything or no credits removed.
