What if people were only as cool as their shoes? Dec09 TR. last hours at Disney pg19

I had gone to bed with my noisemaker set as loud as possible and a pillow over my head, I'm not sure how long I was asleep when I heard my mom start to moan, I knew she was about to have a bad dream, Mom has alot of nightmares and they always seem to be demonic, she is sensitive to stuff like that, so when I hear her moaning I wait to see if maybe she was just going to talk in her sleep or actually have a nightmare, but when she started calling my name I knew. Have you ever had a bad dream and you try to call for help, you're screaming with all your might but it comes out a whisper? Well that is what Mom was doing, it's kind of scary to hear it, "Ty, ty, help me."

"Mom, wake up your having a bad dream."

"Ty.!"

so I get out of bed and go over to her, "Mom, wake up you're having a bad dream."

Mom woke up and said thankyou for waking me, I asked if she was ok and she said yes, so I went back to my bed, a little while later she is calling for me again, "Ty, wake me up please, ty, wake me up."

SO I call out for her again but she won't wake up, I get up and go over to her bed again, "Mom."

Her voice was quivery, "The demons want to sacrifce me."

"Wake up Mom."

"I can't."

So I gently shake her, "Mom you have to wake up."

She wakes up and tells me she was having a horrible dream, I told her to lay on her side instead of her back, so she rolls over and falls asleep right away, I waited for about 5 minutes then went back to my bed I listened for a long time for her, she was quiet, I had just started to fall asleep when she started calling for me again, so I go back to her bed and wake her up again, this time I make her sit up and I get her some orange juice to drink, I thought maybe if she was awake and alert then once she went back to sleep she wouldn't be in the same dream, I also prayed for her, I asked God to get into her dreams and send angels to do whatever battle needed to be fought in order for Mom to get a restful sleep.

I went back to my bed and fell asleep thinking Mom's dream was done, but it wasn't shortly there after she started whimpering then calling for me again,

"Mom, wake up."
"I'm trying"
"Wake up Mom," I hear nothing, "Are you awake?"

"Yes."

"I prayed, so no more bad dreams, ok?"

"Ok."

I fall asleep and after a while I hear Mom whimpering again and calling for help.
I get up and go back over to her and wake her up. "Mom, I bind all evil spirits away from you in the name of the Father." I went and got her bible and gave it to her, she hugged it to her and fell back asleep. I got back into bed and thought if this happens again I will make her get dressed and we will go for a walk by the lake, but Mom did fall into a sound sleep and she didn't whimper or call out for me anymore.

This whole thing happened over 3 hours during the night. I wasn't able to fully sleep because I was waiting for mom and afraid if I slept too hard I wouldn't hear her, I woke up at every sound, anytime somebody rolled over or coughed it woke me, I was grateful when the alarm went off I could at least get up and start my day.

As we were getting ready I asked Mom if she remembered her nightmare and she said yes it was a bad one and she didn't know what brought it on. there must be spiritual battle going on that she isn't aware of.

Today is my birthday, I go and get my present for Mom out of my suitcase, even though it is my birthday, it was mom's "labor" day. I had painted her an Eyore T-Shirt, she loved it and wore it that day.

I was stoked for my birthday, it was going to be an Epcot day, we had ADR's for Coral Reef and I would be getting my brithday girft card from Disney. How could this day not be awesome? I'm at Disney with my Mom and BFF, and Janis was fast becoming part of my family, what a great way to celebrate.

I'm 38, don't feel a day over 25, I really don't think I look 38 either, so that's a plus.

We were heading out to the bus stop when Bo called, this is our tradition, I answer my phone

"Hello?" all smiles here cause I know what's coming

"YOU SAY IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY, DA NA NA NA NA NA
IT'S MY BIRTHDAY TOO
YOU SAY IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY DA NA NA NA NA NA
WE'RE GONNA HAVE A GOOD TIME."

Then I say, "uuummm, who is this?"

and Bo says "Ty?"

"You must have the wrong number."

"Ty, don't scare me like that you nerd. So do you feel 38, what's it like to turn 38 in Disneyworld? Do you have birthday plans?"

I fill her in and promise to keep her included with text messages and phone calls. We hang up and a bus is pulling up for Epcot, :woohoo:

We are one of the first on and grab seats towards the back. we chit chat all the way to Epcot, when we got off the bus Janis handed me $30 and said "Happy Birthday, sorry I don't have a card for you." I was so surprised, I gave her a hug and said thank you so much.

Once the rop dropped we headed to guest relations, it was a long wait, Janis and Marzi waited outside and Mom and I went in, once we got to the front the CM gave me all the birthday options and the gift card was the best option for me, she went over a few rules and sidenotes, then she gave me a new birthday button and she gave mom and "I'm celebrating" button, we didn't think to ask for one for Marzi and Janis until we got outside, we went back in bu tthe line was so long we decided to just forget it for now.

With gift card in hand we headed to Mousegears, my all time favorite Disney store. We spent an hour in there.
My most favorite purchase of the day was this
purchases006.jpg

Isn't it grand? I also bought more earings and a keychain, I think I also bought a pin but I don't remember what of, when I checked out I still had 5 dollars left on my card, it wouldn't go to waste, I would find something to buy eventually.

Marzi bought her son CJ a pair of Disney crocs, Mom got herself a castle watch, it was gorgeous and I ask that should she ever tire of it please consider me to take over of the wearing of that watch, she promised.

I will sign off for now, I have tons of pictures for this day and I need to get things in order, it was a busy day. I meet a diser this day. not just a diser but a moderator:woohoo::yay:

Ty, I'm about halfway through reading your TR and enjoying it! It'll take me a while to get caught up, but wanted to let you know you've got another reader. :)

Good posts!! I'm so glad you enjoyed your visit here in Texas. I'm even more glad you had a good time with your baby girls.
Pretty cool of you to take the baby for the night so mom and dad could get some rest, those nights are priceless. I had a friend do that for my DH and I on our wedding anniv., I can't tell you what it did for our outlook as parents. :goodvibes

I rarely hear others talk about recognizing spiritual warfare. If you want I have some suggestions that I can pass onto you for helping your mom with bad dreams. Just PM me and I will pass on what God has taught me. :goodvibes

I bums me out that the couple sorta bummed out your trip some, did anyone else with you hear them besides you?

Love your birthday goodies you bought! It's fun to have money to play with. So how did you get a card from Disney with money for your birthday, I'm not sure I understand how that happened. :confused3 I must be missing something.

Thank you Ty for the posts of your trip, I love reading your writing.

What a great experience at the primetime you had.

Love that your mom enjoyed her time with the policeman.

Sorry you had a restless night. I wonder if it was payback for the night your Mom spent 38 years earlier?

Great purchases!

Glenn, you oughtta know by now that there's no "sneaking in the back door" around here!!!

:lmao::lmao:

I can also share what God has taught me about binding evil, PM me if you'd like.

Hi Ty. I just discovered your TR, lured by your very funny title. You give such detail to your reports, especially your observations of other people and their conversations. Very amusing!

How nice that you became reunited with your best friend from junior high. I hope you've stayed in touch with each other. It's amazing how quickly you picked your friendship back up.

Thanks for taking the time to share McChickenbutt, fighting neighbors, full moon, crazy bus riders, funny quips and so much more. I'm leaving in 2 and a half weeks so I've been reading TRs to get in the spirit.

Laura

Hey, Ty! Sorry I've been MIA. Just got back from my trip! I've started the TR if you'd like to come join. Link is in my sig.

That's really scary with your mom and her nightmares. Hope she can conquer them.

Wow, thanks for the reception Camille.

And I thought I was just sneaking in. :tiptoe:

:thumbsup2 What are friends for?!? :)

I can't wait to get back to Texas and see my nieces again, They are planning a trip to MI this September, I hope I can swing a trip there to see them as well. Lola an dI have been talking everyday and she sends me pictures on my cell every day, she knows how much I miss the baby girls, my heart aches I miss them so much, the night I took Addy for her night time feedings was so precious, I would do it again in a heart beat.

I know that there are spiritual battles being fought constantly, I will be PMing you about this, I would love to know what God has taught you.

All of us heard the neighbors arguing, it was kind of like the elephant in the corner though, we didn't really talk about it even though it was evidently in our faces.

My birthday goodies, ahhhh, the memories. My Disney gift card was from the year of celebrations, if you were in Disney during your birthday, then on your actual birthday they would give you a few choices for a gift, you could get a 1 day admission for free, which in my case was ridiculous seeing as how I already paid to be there, another choice was 6 fast passes, didn't really seem worth it, the other choice was a gift card in the amount of a park ticket, $79.00 so that was my choice.

Thank you for the kind words and thank you so much for reading and posting, it does mean alot to me.

Primetime was an awesome experience, I'm glad my mom got to see first hand all the things I talked about for years before she finally decided to go herself. And the Policeman escapade is still one of her favorite things about DHS, my mom is a natural performer when given the chance, she just ate this up.

Mom did mention to me that I had kept her awake for years so one night of sleeplessness due to her wasn't anything to complain about. I guess she's right.

Laura

Hi, welcome to my TR, I am so happy to have yet another new reader, it's like Christmas. And thank you for your kind words too.

I was worried about awkwardness with Marzi but from the minute we met up at the airport it was like oldtimes, only with mortgages and wrinkles now.;) We keep in touch mostly through text messaging, she's a busy girl but we do have plans to get our families together again, hopefully this summer.

Leaving in 2 weeks for Disney? I hope that your trip is everything you have drempt it to be and more, breathe in deep that unique Disney air and tell Mickey I will see him in September.

I always read TR's to get into the spirit of an upcoming trip, it works too.

Welcome back, I will definitely be checking out your TR.

Mom has nightmares every so often, she prays out loud in her sleep alot, it was wierd that she was calling out for me because she is normally calling out to God. But she is conquering them 1 at a time.

:thumbsup2 What are friends for?!? :)

Good advice? I need all I can get, I used to think that once you hit a certain age and your kids are close to moving out that the learning for a parent stops, but it doesn't and I find myself clueless alot not even knowing how or what to pray for, but I will be PMing both of you for advice and wisdom.

Don't apologize for high jacking this TR, there really is no high-jacking here, just friends shotting the breeze.

I had spent the majority of my disney gift card on jewelry:woohoo:
and then headed to mission space, next to soarin this ride is on my top 5 list. I was a little worried about Marzi getting sick on this ride, I suggested she sit this one out and then I would ride the green side with her after I rode the orange side, but no Marzi wanted the adventure, screaming guts and all. So we get there, the wait is 15 minutes, we get our orange card and proceed. I had a hard time keeping them distracted from reading what their cards, said, have you ever read those cards? it's scary. I felt comfortable enough having mom go on it, it doesn't shake the carp out of you too much, just don't go right after eating you might experience the bubble guts, can bubble guts be said for upset tummies too or is bubble guts strictly for diareah? Did I spell diareah correctly?

The line moved quickly, before we knew it we were in the info room as I call it where Lieutenat Dan is giving us the run down on our trip into space. Mom likes Lieutenat Dan, she watched the screen intently, I think she might have taken the ride a bit too seriously.

alldis09082.jpg

I knew what job I wanted, Pilot, so in the next room where we line up for our positions in our space pod I made sure to be in the spot for the pilot, I think Marzi was shuttle commander, not sure, and I know Janis's job was to push the hyper sleep button, I can't remember what Mom was supposed to do, it doesn't matter anyway, I ended up doing her job, not because she was a slacker, but because I love to push buttons.
alldis09083.jpg

Mom in her Eyore shirt, looking so professional for her first trip to Mars, again watching the screen intently, seriously mom, it's not real.

We load into our pod and get situated, Marzi grabs the barf bag and opens it, she wants to be prepared just incase, I let them know that the G-forces they will feel will only last a few seconds, it's all good people, let's do this.

They close us up and the ride tilts back, we are looking up the launch pad, mom says, "coooooool." I giggle, this is a first for mom and I, we have taken plenty of road trips, but none to mars, so naturally we are stoked.
The engines start to rumble, we feel it in our seats, and then we take off, slowly I can feel my stomache being pressed into my spine, this is probably the only time in my life that I will have a flat stomache, so I enjoy that knowledge as best I can, it starts to get a little painful at this point, I scream....I scream hard, loud and long. Mom is laughing, Janis is laughing, Marzi isn't doing much of anything. We make it into space and it's time for some button pushing and switch flicking, I totally act like I know exactly what I'm doing, I know we'll get there regardless of what button I push, so I just had fun with it.

Then it was time to get ready for our slingshot around the moon, this hurt a little bit too but it shouldn't have, Janis hit the hyper sleep button, I should have slept like a baby, but I didn't, then we approach Mars, oh carp! I overshot the landing, lieutenat Dan is screaming, pull up pull up, I'm screaming, "I'm pulling, I'm pulling." Mom is screamin, "She's pulling, she's pulling." Then there we are perched on the cliff, we are warned not to move a muscle, next thing you know we are being commended for a successful job.
I would not call this successful, I mean really, we missed our landing and I am pretty sure there is extensive damage to the space craft, but what ev!

We leave our ship and Marzi grabs my arm, "The spinning only lasts a few seconds my @ss!."

"Are you sick?"

Marzi holds up the barf bag, "I brought it with me just incase I don't make it to the bathroom."

As we head out we see the computers where you can send an e-mail from space, so we played around that for a while, sent a couple to her son, and a couple to my family, which I knew was useless, our puter is so slow we wouldn't be able to load it anyway. but it was fun, I sent a few to some friends and a few to Bo. then we went into the gift shop looked around a bit and then found Mom and Janis waiting outside, we took lots of pictures there and then headed over to get a fountain soda for Marzi to sip on.
alldis09084.jpg

My hair looks like it's still being held down by G-forces.

Back in the day, meaning before kids, I discovered fountain soda, McDonalds to be exact the perfect remedy for a hangover, I might have mentioned that already, if I did, sorry.

She sipped her soda and then we went to Ellens energy somthingorother. I figured this would be a good ride to kick back on and let the stomache settle.
My leg was killing me, it was super swollen and felt like it was burning again. In the auditorium Mom told me to sit on the ground bu tIknew they were going to tell everybody to stand up again, so I just stayed standing. I really like Ellen Degenerous, I think she is hilarious, and I bet she would be an awesome best friend.
Soon it was time to go to the ride portion of the show, we got seats at the front, second row all the way to the right, I layed my head down and fell asleep. I woke up when I got shot in the face with a stream of water, I don't ever remember that happening before, I jolted upright and was wiping my face, "eeewwww, what was that?" Mom just laughed, "Really waht was that? Was that part of the ride?" I stayed awake for the rest and really enjoyed it, next time I'm going to stay awake for the whole thing.

Once the ride was over I asked Marzi if she felt any better, she said she was starting to but the imax movie part of the ride made her queazy. "Really? I didn't know there was a movie part, hmmm, why didn't you just close your eyes?"

She didn't answer me, not verbally anyway.

So we then decided we were hungry, Electric Umbrella was right there, so that is where we went.

This time I let Mom and Marzi order the food while Janis and I saved us a seat in the empty restaraunt, I think I got chicken and fruit for dessert, Marzi had chicken and got the strawberry shortcake, Mom and Janis shared a sanwhich and fruit. it was a good CS meal, I like Electric Umbrella, and we always seem to pick the least crowded time to go, we had the place to ourselves. When we were done we refilled our sodas and then left.

we decided now would also be a good time to walk world showcase again and get the candy in Japan that I wanted. So we walked, really really slow. It was hot this day, not unbearably hot, but just enough to make me happy and a little glisteny, I don't sweat you see, I GLISTEN!

We stopped into club cool for some carbonated libation. I love the mezo mix, have I said this before, I'm a little confused, I can't remember if we did club cool on our first epcot day or the second one, if I am repeating myself skip over this part and I will let you know when to start reading again.

SO we sampled the sodas, Got Mom to try the Beverly, she said it was ok, not her favorite, I was waiting for a terrible face, maybe some gagging and possibley even a threat, but I got nothin from her. WE sampled all of them some of them twice, some of them thrice. My belly ached when we left.

Resume reading now!

On the way out we stopped and watch the choir perform, they were amazing, so good, all of them had beautiful voices and they were so into their music just dancing and feeling it, it kind of made me want to get my groove on, but I was already glistening, didn't want to glisten anymore then necessary. We watched the whole show, then we stopped at a hat place, I almost got Reese the rasta hat with the dreadlocks, her room is painted in yellow, with green and red accents, I thought it would look good in her room, she has lots of Bob Marley posters and is always listening to his CD's but then I remembered her friend Cait said she was getting Reese a rasta hat for Christmas, so I didn't buy it.

We stopped in a few other shops to look around, didn't see anything I had to have, I wanted to ride Maelstrom but when we got to Norway Kent called and I forgot about Maelstrom and moved on, I talked with Kent for a long time, I got stopped at the bridge when they had to raise it to bring out the barges with the fire works on them, I told Mom, "Those are for me cause it's my birthday." Mom smiled and winked. She wasn't going to argue that, she gave it to me.
The bridge went back down and we continued our walk,
We stopped in Germany and I bought some chocolate for the kids using my snack credits, I also got myself a bag of gummi bears, no reason, I was just in the mood for gummi bears, I actually got the gummi alphabets though not the bears. This way I felt like I was consuming some smartness.

once we got to Japan I had to say goodbye to Kent, I needed to concentrate on candy buying. I picked out quite a few things for the kids, all on looks alone, I couldn't read what they actually were (I can't read Japanese, never could:confused3), but a picture says alot. I put them in the kids stockings at christmas and they loved them, Reese shared hers with her friends, they want me to get them some when I go back and of course I said sure....for a small fee. I mean what if I get busted for smuggling Japanese candy across state lines? I got away with it once but who knows, they could be looking for me now.

I don't remember much more of world showcase, I think we might have taken the boat back and not walked all the way around.

We then headed to finding Nemo, we stopped for lots of pictures out front, it was hard to do, you have to wait your turn and then you still end up having kids run through the shot, but hey it's Nemo, can you blame them?

We headed onto the ride, we walked and walked and walked, stopped to rest and have a snack, then we walked and walked and walked, it was getting close to evening so we set up camp, did a little fishing, fried that fish up for supper then went to bed. We woke up broke camp early and continued on our journey to get to the finding Nemo ride, we walked and walked, stopped for a while, took a dip in the ocean and then walked and walked some more, about a week later we made it to the ride...(I might have exagerated a little here, it was a long walk though, does the queus SP? really need to be that long?)

We are all smiles when we get to our clam mobiles,
alldis09087.jpg

I snapped this picture and then a CM snapped at me to put my camera away, I know right! you don't have to be rude, I respond better to kindness.
She hurt my feelings and she did it on my birthday.:guilty:

The ride is hokey but I still like it, it's too short too. when the ride was over I had a little trouble on the walking sidewalk, my leg was in such bad shape that whenever I sat for a spell it was hard to get up and moving again, I stepped out o fthe clam mobile and took a step with my left leg, but then my right leg refused to follow causing me to almost fall, marzi and the CM caught me, embarassing? Not really! the CM was cute.

We went and watched the fish, then headed over and watched the manatees for the longest time, I love those animals, I want to take them home and put them in my creek.

WE then went to the photo opp place, this is a must do every time, I gave my camera to Mom and Marzi and I went and got in line with al the kids to get our picture in the sharks mouth, we waited about 20 minutes, it was a long line, but once it was our turn we hauled our butts up in there and Mom snapped away.
alldis09088.jpg

then we got some pics with the other sharks
alldis09089.jpg

I asked Mom and Janis if they wanted their pics with any of the sharks but they passed on that.

We had 40 minutes until our ADR at Coral Reef now, we stopped in the little shop they had and I found the perfect gift for Reese, it was a wooden beaded bracelet in the rasta colors. I knew she would love it. I waited in line for a long time, the people infont o me had bought alot of glass things and were having them sent back to the resort, so Mom and Janis left to go check us in at Coral Reef while Marzi and I waited in line. Finally with tiny purchase in hand we went next door to "The Reef" I was so excited, this has been my favorite place to eat and I couldn't believe I was having my birthday dinner here. I told Janis how I excited I was and I could tell she was excited for me.
It wasn't long before they called my name, we were taken in and I was hoping to be close to the fish tank, but we got seated on the top level...right next to the kitchen doors, looking back this should have been a sign that dinner was going to be disaterous.

It took a long time for our server to come over and when he did he rushed us, we all ordered soda except for Janis, she ordered hot tea, the server sighed when she did that, I don't know why. He left us with our menus to look over and I was shocked, there wasn't anything appealing on their at all, everything now has cous-cous SP? or ratatouile or is blakened cajun somthing or other that will melt your guts. I wanted Seafood, I had gotten Seafood here before, snowcrab legs to be exact, I know that the crab legs aren't on the menu, it's a hit or miss but I though there might be something else kind of sea foody everything on that menu I couldn't even pronounce.

The server came back and was a bit upset that we hadn't decided yet, the appetizers looked good but we don't get appetizers on the DDP, he said he could give us the apptetizer for a meal, but really, 4 shrimp, that's the meal, he said he could give us the double portion, then he talked us into the appetizer for 2, whcih is lobster bisque, never had it but thought it sounded good enough to try, it also came with 2 bites of steak on a nasty @ss pile of yellow pudding crap, 2 pices of shrimp on blades of grass soaked in cucumber juice, 2 tiny size crab cakes, and some blubbery jello stuff,
alldis09090.jpg

He asked how I wanted my steak cooked, I said very well. When he finally brought out our meal I will say I was impressed with the presentation and that was it. he told us he couldn't give us spoons for the bisque because it was meant to be sipped. Really? Would you be breaking some soup law if you did give me a spoon, how many years in the slammer do you get for that offense? cause this stuff was thick, and it's a texture thing with me, I couldn't sip it, it was like drinking cheese. I did however enjoy dipping my bread into it. I took a bite of steak and it was red inside and very mushy, yuck, I pushed it aside, tried the shrimp, undercooked, tried the crab cakes, I threw up in my mouth a little.

I am spoiled by my husbands grand cooking especially when it comes to seafood, his crab cakes are to die for and I would offer him up against any chef and guardamntee Kent would come out the winner, I'm not bragging, just telling the truth is all, he is a fine cook, but I can and have eaten seafood at other places prepared by other people and liked it, I have eaten at coral Reef twice before and loved it, I always made sure to recommend it to others. I don't know if I was at Coral Reef on an off day or if it really does stink now, all I know is I didn't like it that day. Dipping the bread in the lobster Bisque was my meal, that was it. and it certainly wasn't worth $30.

I kept apologizing to everybody and telling them I should have researched it before I left, I had no idea that the menu would change this drastically. I wanted to cry, I did spring some tears but covered it with a yawn to make it look like my eyes were watering from that. I felt so bad, we could have eaten anywhere that day and I chose Coral Reef, they trusted me to know what I was doing and I gave them upscale butt cheese!

Mom said we would laugh about it some day, so far I haven't!

so finally it was time for dessert, at least they still had the chocolate Wave, Marzi and I each ordered that, Mom and Janis got the cheese cake I think, so the server leaves and comes back out singing happy birthday and brings this to the table.

My Mom had ordered a cake for me. I was so happy, I would have been happy with just the chocolate wave, but this was special because my Mom thought of me and got this for me.
We each had a nice sized slice of it, we were still hungry yaknow, dinner didn't fill our bellies up but this cake did. It was a white cake with white chocolate frosting and it was delicious. He brought out a box for us to take the rest home. I told him we still wanted our desserts too, after all we did pay for that as well. So he brought those out in to go boxes for us. I was a little miffed to see that mom had t pay a gratuity tax on the cake, it just didn't seem right to have a whole other tax just for the cake, I offered to pay it, Mom said no, we all offered to split it, Mom said no.

We left Coral Reef, me extremely disapointed. I called Kent and told him how much dinner stunk, he felt bad for me and said he would fix me a real nice seafood dinner for my birthday when I got home, and he did.

We stopped and did some shopping, Marzi and I held onto the desserts so Mom an dJanis could go on Spaceship earth, Marzi wasn't feeling well and wanted to sit it out, so I stayed with her.

When Mom and Janis got off the ride we started to make our way to the exit, the plan was to watch illuminations from there, and then once it was over we would be ahead of the crowd when going back to the buses.

I'll leave of fhere for now, let this soak in for a while, let ya'll chew on it a bit, then I'll update again soon.

Ty~

That was a great update!! Wow! You covered a lot in this update!
I'm so sorry about your birthday meal sucking. :headache: I loved eating here when we last went in 2007, but since then I've seen some really bad reviews and decided to skip it this time. I think we're doing Le Cellier this time, I've not had warm fuzzy feelings about Epcot's restaurants, I'm actually more fond of the CS here than TS. Sunshine Seasons and Tangeirine Cafe (I know I spelled that wrong) are my two favs. so far.
Take care girl and PM me soon if you can.

Too bad about your b-day dinner but the actual day sounds great.

Laughed at your remarks about how long the Nemo queue was.

Well, dang, if that weren't a perfectly rotten ending to an otherwise delightful day.

I hate that your leg is acting very naughty; it almosts hurts ME to walk on mine!

That was funny about the queue for the Clam ride. :lmao: I remember it lasting forever too.

You are a great writer! Keep it up!

Oh my goodness, I have some catching up to do!!

Your poor mother! How scary to have dreams like that. I'm glad you were there to save her from the demons. Does she have dreams like that often?

Wow, didn't take you long to burn up that Disney card did it? I do understand the weight of that big ol card was probably going to weigh you down for the day and make you much slower. LOVE the bracelet!! Very disney chic!!

I still have yet to go to space. I don't know why it freaks me out a bit. Maybe I will try the chicken side first just to check it out.

NO SEAFOOD?? What the heck!! I'm so sorry your birthday dinner sucked. It did look pretty though. I can't believe that little plate was $30. That's just criminal. Your cake was beautiful. How sweet of your mother.

What a great birthday day! No better place to spend it than at Epcot!!

Wow, I'm sorry your birthday dinner was awful, but that cake looked very yummy. I am taking my mom to Coral Reef for her birthday dinner next week. I really hope it was just an off day for them.

We ate at Coral Reef on our last trip: Never AGAIN! We must have had the same server. Our server disappeared after I tried to order a drink and he wanted to ID me. I didn't have it, so I said that it was no big deal. He made a big production out of it anyway and then never came back. No refills on soda, no "How's your meal?". Our food was totally undercooked, in fact, mine was cold! Not cold like it had been sitting out for too long, but cold like it had just come out of the fridge. Our waiter did show up at the end with deserts, and started groveling for a tip. Ugh. Sorry it had to happen on your birthday. That cake looked so yummy. I'll have to try some of the Japan candy. I stocked up on candies at Italy. They were so good. I even shared 3 of them with my daughters. That's a big deal. It's hard to share my chocolate, even with the loves of my life!

Yup, coral Reef let me down, I'm doin gCS only for my setpember trip so I need to find some good ones at Epcot, Kent really wants fish n chips, do you know of any good places for that?

dinner did stink but it didn't ruin my day at all, I was sad feeling like I ruined things for the others but they didn't really seem to care.

That nemo queue was forever long, I kid you not!

Yup my day was awesome and then coral Reef pooped on it, but.....the day is not over yet, did it continue to go down hill? dun dun dunnnnnn!

My leg just wasn't being cool with me.

I guess they expected the nemo ride to be a big hit and have long lines, I have never had to wait in line for that, they should add a gift shop to the queue or maybe a small soda shop, something to break up the monotony of that long stretch of line.

Mom doesn't have dreams like that too often, maybe once or twice a month, I know alot if it happens when she is away from home, but she gets them at home occasionally too.

That Disney gift card was HEAVY, I had no choice but to get rid of it ASAP, all the jewelry I bought was so much lighter, really it was.

You haven't been to space yet? c'mon now, what are you waiting for chickenbutt? All the cool kids are doing it. I thought you were cool too.
Your mission should you choose to accept is to take a trip to Mars via disney, (it's cheaper that way) or do I need to just dare you? I will skip the dare and go right for the triple dog dare!!!!!

The cake was soooo good, it was just as good when we ate some for breakfast the next day too.

The cake was super yummy. I'm sure you and your mom will have a good time at Coral Reef, I'm sure it was an off day cause like I said before I had eaten there twice before and loved it, that's why I chose it for my B-day dinner. And your appetite for things might be very different from mine too, so many variables here I don't want anybody to base their planning off of my review, have fun there.

Maybe we did have the same server, maybe he was having an off day too? I've had great servers there in the past, just the whole thing was a big disapointment and I talked it up so much over the week I kind of felt stupid once we got there and it was yucky, even where we were seated. I might give it a try in a few years, but for now it just left a bad taste in my mouth, literally.

I can't believe they brought you your food cold, makes me wonder if they took it precooke dout of the fridge and forgot to microwave it? :confused3

Does everybody see that I started my pre trip report? It's in my siggie. you want to read it.

Hopefully Jedi mind tricks work here.;)
