What if people were only as cool as their shoes? Dec09 TR. last hours at Disney pg19

I sure wouldn't want to be part of that family!! Too bad you had to sit through the whole argument. Those walls sure are thin :sad2:

It happens to the best of us. Even on one of my trips with my older stepsister and stepdad came with us. My stepsister spent most of the time complaining about her relationships and how she doesn't have any money. Then, when we were at the Poly Luau of all places, my sister (aka Bubba) had had enough. She left the table during our meal, tears streaming down her face. She just couldn't take it anymore. Looking back, I feel terrible for her. At the time, I had sided with my stepsister. :sad2: Nobody should cry or be upset in Disney! It's just not the time or place. The trip just wasn't the same after that. At least now I know who NOT to travel with!
I couldn't help but think of that couple every now and then, they had so much anger at eachother.

I agree with you nobody should cry or be upset at Disney.

I'm one that hurts for people like that and hate to hear it cause it upsets me, I want to fix it but know I can't and it will bother me. Then there are the parents who don't control their kids and let them hurt others, good for you saying something I don't understand people who have no consideration for others, and hat guy would have heard it from me that is just plain rude. Keep up the updates really enjoying the walk around epcot brings back great memories thank you!!!

Yeah, I am the type that cries over other peoples spilled milk, I want to be able to fix it too, but then again I need to mind my own business, it was just a shok how loud they were actually yelling at eachother.
The whole not taking care of your kids thing really gets to me, I shouldn't have to say something to the parents of bad behaving kids, it's just not cool.

I know just what you mean. I've been feeling the same way lately. Feb through most of March I fight feeling this way. At least I have Disney to focus on to keep my mind busy, with all the planning I'm bound to have something good to think about.
It really bummed me out and mad me happy all at the same time to see flowers out for our garden the other day in Costco....I mean really....why tempt us when we can't put them out yet. :confused3 Good prices too.
Thanky you for the update, can't wait to hear more!!! :woohoo:
I always get the winter blues, and then the store is slow so they cut hours and I'm home alone and that makes it worse, but I know it's only temporary, the sun will come out and the snow will be gone, just February seems like the longest month even though it's really the shortest.

:( Hearing stories like that make me all the more thankful for my relationship. So sad, for them and for you guys who had to listen to it.
Other than the argument, it sounds like a great night in the room! Those are the best conversations, the random silly school girl stuff. Love it.
I just found out my trip crew is expanding, as my brother and his wife and possibly my dad are going to go to. It's exciting, but stressfull having to change my plans now. But, it will be fun.
So glad to have another update from you! :goodvibes
I know, how can you not feel bad for the couples who can't get along at Disney? Kent and I had a melt down our first trip but we never had the outburst that people had, and it wasn't the last fight we heard either.

It was a great night in the room, I felt 13 again.
Good luck with changing your plans, it'll keep you busy though.:surfweb:

I love your quiet private times where you snuck out by yourself to get a hot cocoa to sit by the pool. I can't think of a better place to slip away and just think. :thumbsup2

I am sick that you had to hear that! You know they knew everyone could hear them, but regardless, it's sad that people fight that way at all. If they were arguing there, I can't help but to think they must be fighting a lot at home in normal circumstances too. After a while it must just be habit.

Hope you are getting some good rest on that leg this evening!! I know you had a lot more planned for hte next day :)

My quiet times alone were some of my favorite, even though I loved having my BFF and mom there, the hot chocolate by the pool and me alone with my thoughts just relaxed me so much.

I agree, they knew they could be heard but I guess they didn't care, from the other fights I have heard I came to realize that they are most comfortable when they are fighting.

Between last night and tonight, I've read your whole report!!! Sounds like you had a great trip, making awesome memories!!!

I can't wait to read the rest, and hear how your birthday went!
thank you for reading, I have a few more updates before I get to my birthday, it was a good day I will say that, but it had it's moments too.

Hi Ty I've been following your trip report, very entertaining! I've been a lurker for some time now on these boards so I decided to come out of hiding and send some support your way :hippie:

Keep updating, can't wait to hear more of your adventure!

Thank you for coming out of lurkdom, I love to hear from everybody, welcome and thank you for making your first post on my TR, :flower3: I will be updating soon.

zil0902!

Welcome and congrats on your very first post!! It's great to have you here with all of us!! Post often, and we'll see you here!! :thumbsup2
Yes congrats!:cheer2:

Welcome!
You picked a great TR for your first post!!! :cool1:

Thank you xoprincessmomxo:hug:

Yes I have (sorta) started a pretrip report. We will see how good I do keeping up on it.

Don't go changing your plans just in case things don't go my way. Though I would LOVE to meet you too. It's on my bucket list.

I doubt we will do the party. I think by that time they are doing the party parade anyway. This is a serious budget trip!! I'm packing bologna!! No bread!

Or maybe just bread, no bologna. Growing tomatoes this summer to make the ketsup.
As you know already I have gone to your PTR, I love your title.

We will meet someday, I am coming to Mi. this summer and don't forget your invite to my sisters Halloween party,

We are all about the budget trip, we're packing leftovers!!! unless they come out with free dining, then we are good to go.

We make our own ketchup every year too, I swear we're related! We gotta be.

I'm so over winter and this snow thing... Bring on Spring!!! :cool1:
Amen sista friend! No mo sno!

there was alot going on for just one little piece of candy, I knew I needed to get more for the kids before I left Disney for good.

Did you ever make it back to get some?

I leaned over and rested my head on mom's shoulder I could see better now.

That's so sweet; didn't you do that in the Muppet show, too?

Hey, I just heard we're supposed to get 6 - 10 more inches Monday night...:rolleyes1

Denise

We had said that today was going to be a sleepin day but we were still up by 7:00am, so we all just started getting ready, except for Janis, she was tired and still a bit under the weather so she decided to stay and rest and maybe meet us later for our ADR at 50's Primetime.

While Mom and Marzi were finishing getting ready I went down to the parking lot to check the weather, (it's hard to gage it from just stepping outside the door, we were in the shade) so down in the parkin glot I could tell it was going to be a warm day, yay! I wouldn't even need a jacket, I calle my sister and talked to her for a few minutes gave her the update and told her about our plans, she asked that I text her through out the day and send pictures so she could kind of feel like she was there with us. Bo is a very active person always on the go so for her to have to take it easy after her surgery was starting to get to her. We said our goodbyes and I headed back up to the room, as I was headed there the argument lady from the night before came out of her parents room, I guess she had stayed there all night, she went to her own room and opened the door, I didn't linger outside too long but I did hear her say to her husband that they were going to MK that day and she would like for him to go too. I thought nice, they'll kiss and make up now.

Mom and Marzi wee ready to go so we gathered up our park bags, which I should have mentioned earlier, my buxton bag that I had bought for the trip had by now fallen apart, all the zippers had broken and the strap was startingto split from the bag, luckily I had the Kermit purse from JoJo and it was the perfect park bag for me, I didn't have to go buy one, which really would not have been a sin or the end of my life, but why buy one when I already had one, and it was Kermit so that is a huge plus.

We got to the DHS bus stop and a bus was waiting for us, we climbed on and waited for more people to show up, nobody did so we pulled out with a bus that was only half full, this must mean that DHS won't be crowded I told Mom and Marzi.

We get to DHS and it looks empty, we go through the bag check,

"Have ya biags awf ya shouldas and awn the table with it open!"

We go through the finger scan no problems, and then we head in to wait for the rope to drop. We spent some time taking pictures, the place wasn't too full of people yet.
alldis09071.jpg

doesn't it look like Mom is wearing a hat?
alldis09070.jpg

Once the rope dropped we went into one of the shops, Mom had seen something last time we were at DHS and wanted to get it, I can't remember what it was but it must have been important. While shopping I found a Minnie pin, she was in a nurses uniform so I bought for Marzi to give to her at Christmas. I also found a necklace that I had not seen anywhere else and I had to have it. it's a gold heart with little crystals around it and inside the heart is a crystal Mickey head, it was so awesome, then I got some gold mickey earings to match.
purchases005.jpg

We left the store happy with our purchases and headed straight to animation studio, Mom had wanted to exoerience the drawing portion, Marzi and I were all set for this we really enjoyed it the night we drew Dopey. there was a line but it wasn't long and they said it would be about 10 minutes.

I had gottent he worse case of hicups, I hate the hicups for me they are so painful and I get mad when I have them because they will last for an hour go away for a little bit and then come back, it will stay that way for at least 24 hours, so I'm in line getting grumpier and grumper with each hicup, I've tried all the home remedies, holding my breath, trying to swallow 3 gulps of air, standing on one foot and thinking of everything except purple elephants, nothing was working, then all of a sudden there is a tap on my shoulders, "Mam, I'm sorry you're going to have to exit the park, we do not allow hicups here." It was a CM and he had me buffaloed to the point that my hicups were gone. I was like "Are you serious?"
"Yes Mam, we find hicups a huge distraction, you're going to have to leave."

"You're joking right?"

"No, I'm not, sorry to have to do this to you."

:confused::guilty:

Then he said, "Oh, but it looks like your hicups are gone now, so you can stay."

I had to think for a minute, they were gone, wow! then I got it. "Oh, you're good, nobody can get rid of my hicups but you did, you're good."

He winked and walked away.

side story

One time I had the hicups real bad and I was beothing about, it, my DD is getting mad at me by now, "Why are you so mad?"
"I've got the hicups."

"No you don't"

"Yes I do"

Alright, prove it, hicup for me right now."

And as hard as I tried I could not produce a hicup, but these kinds of things only work once.

Anyway that CM was brilliant, I wonder how many times he's used that to get rid of hicups.

We were let in to watch the show with Mushu, Mom loved this and laughed alot, then we beelined for the animation part of it, they were letting a class in as we got there, we got seats in the middle, I was all excited to see who we were drawing today.

The artist flipped through his book and said here's a good one, we are just introducing him to the works, it's ray the lightening bug from The Princess and the Frog.
There were alot of groans and OMG's that looks hard, but he assured us that we would be able to do it and it's really easy since we start out with simple shapes, so we got started, he went a little faster then the guy from the other night, I had to keep playing catch up. But in the end I think I drew a pretty good Ray, Mom's and Marzi's turned out nice too, but I will be honest, I liked mine best.
Mom did say that my Dad would probably have fun at this but she knows he would never go to Disney. That's such a shame too, I would love to experience Disney with my Dad, I know once he got there he would have such a great time.

We left the studio with our drawings, and I took a picture with my phone to send to my sister, she texted me back and asked if I lit his butt up, I was clueless till she explained that he says that in the movie. "Don't make me light my butt up.":confused3

I asked my Mom if she wanted to do ToT again and she said no, once was enough, I got a bit bummed, but then Marzi said she wanted to try it, I was floored. I didn't want her to get sick, especially so early in the day so I said no you don't have to, but she insisted, so we started heading over there, Mom said she wanted to check out some more shops but she would meet us at the ToT dump shop.
alldis09075.jpg

So Marzi and I head over, she wanted to stop and "relax" before going on the ride, so we foudn a "spot" and did that, she could hear thescreams coming from the ride and kept looking at me like she was unsure. I told her again she didn't have to go but she still insisted that she wanted to try it.
alldis09073.jpg

We went and got in the short line, once we were in the library and the lights went off a couple people got really loud, like they had to speak up cause it was dark and they couldn't be heard. We couldn't hear Rod telling the story, I was a bit mad at this because I wanted Marzi to have the full experience, she said she got some bits and peices of it, so once we were in line for our elevator I filled her in on what she missed.

We were on the elevator in minutes, we got seats in the middle and upfront, we strapped ourselves in and the doors closed. Marzi was likin git at first but once it started bouncing us up and down it got to be to much for her, she said she couldn't take much more of this, lukily it stopped right after she said that. She tol dme one more bounce and she would have heaved.
I thought this ride was different from any other time I've ridden ToT, it seemed like the sequence changed, I know that the number of times they bounce you changes but this was different in the fact that they brought us down and showed us the missing people again and then took us back up again, normally we only see the missing people once. Oh well, go figure!

We exited the ride, took a look at our picture, I had my arms up, Marzi had her eyes closed, it was cute but nothing we had to have.

We went into the dump shop ans Mom wasn't there, so we went outside, no mom, went to the front, no Mom, so I just called her, she picked up and said she was coming out of the Villians shop and on her way to ToT, so I said we would start walking towards her, just walk the middle of the road and we will bump into eachother, right then she starts talking to somebody about a hiden Mickey so I hung up.
We walked to almost the Villian shop and didn't see Mom so we back tracked and still didn't find her, I saw a shop I wanted to go in so instead of looking for Mom I went in the shop and called her, she said she was headed for ToT and was right by Beauty and the Beast, so I told her to turn around and head back the other way. I went to the door of the shop and could see her so I told her to keep going and then I just went out to meet her. We went into the shop and I was looking at more jewlery when Mom started telling me about an encounter she had with a street actor, he was a policeman,

I will stop here because I need to call Mom and get the story again, it was cute.

Hey Ty!

I am all caught up! :yay:

Re: Pop
I'm enjoying reading about your POP stay. I just booked a trip in a few weeks and went with POP. I hope I don't regret it! I got a ticket for D23's 1st anniversary party, so.....I'm a-goin'! ;)

Re: Animation Academy
I love it!! The last time though, I didn't like the animator running the class. He went super fast and didn't seem overly happy to be there. I felt like saying, "buddy, you wanna switch jobs?"

Re: Akershus
I really liked it. I thought the inside was beautiful and interaction was great, good food. I did Royal Table and I think Akershus was better.

Re: Soarin'
Don't you LOVE it? I think I went on the ride 5x times during my trip. I think it's the greatest thing since sliced bread. My ultimate favorite ride. Did you see the hidden mickeys?

Re: leg
I'm so sorry about your leg? We seemed to be in sympatico, but mine never hurt. It swelled up, looked disguisting with red splochy marks, but never hurt me, thankfully. I don't wear shorts or capris because of my stupid cankles. :scared:

Looking forward to more! popcorn::

Did you ever make it back to get some?Yup, I did.:) And the kids love dit, I put it in their stockings.

That's so sweet; didn't you do that in the Muppet show, too?yea, either the Muppet show or the little Mermaid

Hey, I just heard we're supposed to get 6 - 10 more inches Monday night...:rolleyes1[
Denise
I heard the same, I am so tired of the sno, all of us here in the Hollow have cabin fever, I'm out of cigarettes, it's a good time to quit I guess. Our roads have not ben plowed and al the drifiting is going to make it hard to get out of here, My DH is talking about walking 3 miles to the Brogue store to get "supplies" Our neighbor who lives in back of us came over with a bottle of Jack Daniels about 10:00pm last night and the 3 of us emptied it. It's crazy, but luckily I leave for Texas this Saturday and will be away from the snow for a week.

You won't regret Pop, at least I don't think you will. I love it, it's so Disney.

the first guy at the animators studio went slow and was friendly, the second guy acted like he wanted us out of there ASAP.

Akershus had great food, I have never done CRT so I have nothing to compare it to, but it was nice.

Soarin is my favorite. I would rank it #1 in my book.

I would have loved to have worn capris but my leg was sick looking, I hope I don't have that problem in September, it still swells when I'm onit for more then a few hours.

I also found a necklace that I had not seen anywhere else and I had to have it.

I hope you can figure out what's wrong with Photobucket, because I want to see the jewelry!!!

"Mam, I'm sorry you're going to have to exit the park, we do not allow hicups here."

Genuis!!! Glad it worked! :thumbsup2

it's ray the lightening bug from The Princess and the Frog

So jealous! Can't wait to see your pictures!

I'm out of cigarettes, it's a good time to quit I guess.

When you already are going crazy from cabin fever? Doesn't sound like a good time to quit to me! :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Denise

Hey Ty. Just wanted to say thanks for sharing. I've spent most of the afternoon reading your TR from beginning until now. I have to say that I did laugh at the picture of your foot (i'm sorry) :) But I was laughing and saying OMG at the same time. I don't know how you walked around like that. You're a WDW super trooper. And then I had the thought that you had to walk to the POP bus stops from each park:scared:. I've stayed at POP a few times and it seemed it was always the furthest from the gates (except DHS). I can't wait to hear the rest of the story. I've laughed and teared up several times this afternoon.....

I did finally figure it out, it was simple too.

Genuis!!! Glad it worked! :thumbsup2
I know it was totally genius.

So jealous! Can't wait to see your pictures!
I didn't put my picture of Ray on photobucket, but next time I am transfering from my camera onto my desk top I will include Ray. He was fun to draw.

No really, it's not the best time to quit, but what else can I do?:confused3
Actually a neighbor who lives down the road stopped in to see us and she had cigs and let me buy a pack off her. BB&B called me to see if I could come into work, I would have loved to have gotten out of the house, but us country folk are stuck!

Thanks for reading, now worries about laughing at the picture of my foot, it was hilarious then and it's hilarious now, it didn't even look like a human foot if you ask me.
Pop is always the longest walk, it's a value resort, you get what you pay for, but really it very seldom pained me to walk on it, it was just uncomfortable because mt shoe felt tight.
I am so happy that you are enjoying my retelling of this fun vacation, I laugh and tear up as I write it.

mornin', Ty! Just checking in to say howdy :)

Hi, thank you for still reasding, I know I've been MIa for a while but I will be back soon. The leg is doing ok, the cold weather and my traveling has it acting up a bit but really all is well.
I love that necklace too, the gold one right? it's my favorite fancy Disney lecklace.

Hey girlie, you doing OK? You surviving the weather? Or are you quitting smoking and don't want to talk with anyone for fear flames will come out at everyone?? Hope your well, let us know.

I'm doing great, Ive been in Texas for the past week, I fly home tomorrow. I havn't quit smoking yet, I keep coming up with excuses, but the want to quit is there and getting stronger.

Yay!! Another update coming up soon!!! :rotfl:

Oh gosh, I totally forgot you were coming here! :yay: I hope your trip went well, and you got some good sugars in with your neices during your visit. :goodvibes I always wonder what people think when they come to Texas who aren't use to being here. You'll have to let us know. Miss hearing from you.

The trip went great, I didn't think I could love Jazzlynn anymore then I already did, but she worked her baby magic and I fell deeper in love with her.
Addalynn is a cutie patootie, I got there at a good time, Matt and Lola said that for the longest time she just cried and slept, but mostly cried, now she is learning to explore her world and has several happy no crying hours a day, I even took her for a night so Matt and Lola could get some rest, Addy and I bonded, she is just so dear, I will try and get some pictures uploaded for ya.

Texas was nice, I was hoping it would have been a little warmer, I lived in El Paso for several years so I kind of had an idea of Texas, it was nice being there, very busy, not at all like my small town.

Guess what peeps? The airline lost my luggage on the way back, and then when they recovered it they took it to my work place, it was my day off, so I drove into work to get it and guess what? It wasn't my luggage:lmao:
So I had to haul this big piece of stranger luggage back to my house, I call the airline and explain it to them, they said they would get ahold of the driver who was on his way to Philly at the time, he finally did get me the right luggage and I got a free airline ticket out of it, but the funny thing is, the ticket I used to fly to Texas in the first place was also a freebie due to an airline poopoo when I was coming back from Disney, (It'll all be in the TR, ya'll are just gonna have to wait for that dirt) so anywho, for $164.00 the cost of my original ticket to Disney, I have gotten altogether 3 flights out if it. Not too shabby huh?

So I left off somewhere when I was looking for Mom. or maybe I had just found her, can't remember, but anyway when we met up she started telling me about her encounter with a street actor, a police man one, she approached him and said she wanted to report a missing mickey, she thought maybe he might even be hiding, the kind officer told her that Mickey has been known to be hidden, as of right now there was a report of a hidden Mickey on the water tower and crews were working to get him down, Mom told the officer to call her once the hidden mickey had been found safely,

the story was much longer and more detailed but that is the jist of it, Mom was just so excited to have been "in" on a little Disney skit. I really wish I had been there to see it.

We stopped into quite a few shops ansd it was really starting to get crowded, a parade was on it's way, the block party thing, not really a parade, but people were lining up on the streets and it was getting hard to manuever around, I went into a shop to buy a strap for my camera, I had seen several people with them and just had to have one for myself, there was one lady in front of me in line, my goal was to get the camera strap and then beat it out of dodge before I got stuck in the crowd, didn't seem like it would be too difficult, I mean really, only one person in line ahead of me, she said all she needed was a camera battery, but then it turned into checking prices, then it turned into "hmmmm, honey, should we get another memory card for the camera, how much memory do we want, think we'll need that much, how much more is this then that, hmmmm, honey is it worth it, think we'll use it?" Just when I thought she was going to make the purchase, "Hmmmm honey, blah blah blah blah? blah blah blah!!! hmmmmm, I'm so blah blah torn."

I lost it here, I looked out the door, saw the crowd and went into panic mode, I put the strap back and could not get out of the store fast enough, then I couldn't find a break in the crowd to get across the road before the block party started, it was not a good scene, there were many curses under my breath, and several "Reallys?" shouted everytime somebody backed up without looking and nearly caused me to @ssend them. This was my weakest moment at Disney, I was seconds away from totally losing it, too many people in one place and I could not see my surroundings, that is not good, I finally hurdled a couple sitting down on the curb, I did give a "heads up" warning, I dashed across the street and behind the buildings, it was quiet there, I waited for Mom and Marzi to catch up, then we all went and got a frozen lemonade and just sat and vegged on a bench for almost 40 minutes, we didn't talk, we just sat and sucked our drinks down, well my drink was very bitter, it made my tongue hurt so after a few sucks on it I tossed it and bought a water, but I had taken in enough bitter lemon to give me heartburn.
I had the powder packets of tums and let me tell you, THEY WORK!!!!! it was better then my prescription antacids, I haven't refilled that script either, no need now, I found something that works fast and only cost a dollar for a box at the dollar tree.

We called Janis to see if she wanted to meet us at 50's Prime time for dinner, but she said she was doing fine and didn't want to get up and get dressed, so just the 3 of us went and checked in. They said they were running behind by 20 minutes, story of my life, so we found a couch to sit on and waited, we waited a long time, I about fell asleep, Mom of course thought they called our name and we didn't hear them, so I got up and checked, no, they didn't call us, simmer down mama!

When we did get called I was so hungry I could have eaten the @ss of a skunk and called it steak.

I was extremely happy with where we got seated, we even had our own T.V. I didn't get that last time, our kitchenette eating area was the bomb!

We get seated and not too much later a man comes over and says "Kids, how ya been? You remember your Uncle Tim right?"

I'd been here before, I know the deal, so I play along, "Uncle Tim, how ya been?"

He threw the menus down infront of Mom. "well, if anybody would ever call me or write you would know how I've been, what do you want to drink you free loaders?"

We all give our orders, Marzi and I get some Rasberry smoothie thing, I can't remember what Mom got, but anyway Uncle Tim walks away in a huff, Mom leans over to me, "I don't like him, he's rude."

"He's in character Mom, he's the disgruntled brother of yours."

A light goes on in mom's head, she knows there is fun to be had here.

So When Uncle Tim comes back with our drink orders he says to Mom, "What has my older sister been up to lately?

Mom says, "Oh you know, just livin gmy life, I grew up after all and moved out on my own, I see you're still living at home with Mother."

Uncle Tim didn't miss a beat, "Well, Mother always did like me best."
The he says to Marzi, "What would you like to eat miss elbows?" yup, Marzi had her elbows on the table.
She ordered the post roast, I got the meatloaf, and let me say I had read about the meatloaf on the boards here, wonderful raves of it, and not a single lie, that meat loaf is heaven, totally would die for that meatloaf again. I don't remember what Mom got, I think I always remember what Marzi got because it would be a big discussion between us every time.

Our food comes, we dig in and I say "OMG, this is so good." Uncle Tim caught me talking with my mouth full and I got a stern look and he pointed at me and shook his head, then he said I see you're still no "Miss Manners".

Marzi and I totally loved the atmosphere here, we played it up good, the squabbling sisters, "Mom, tell her to quit looking at me."

"Tell her to stop kicking me under the table."

"She put her nasty finger in my drink."

Mom tells us to both be quiet or we would have to go to bed with no T.V.
(I remember those days, having to miss the muppet show because I wouldn't eat my brussel sprouts, who's idea was brussel sprouts anyway?)

we finish up and Uncle Tim gets our dessert orders, while we were waiting Marzi sends me a picture message on my phone, I open it up, she had taken a picture of my crotch under the table, I broke out into hysterics, so I send her one of me flipping her the bird under the table, she sent one back to me and in all caps it said F U ! but of course the whole word spelled out.

So then I said "What Ever Major Loser!" but I did the whole 5th grade thing of making the W and the E, M and L with my fingers, Marzi spewed her drink, the whole texting war went on for quite a bit and then uncle Tim came back and made a comment about our neat walkie Talkies, but we shouldn't be playing with toys at the dinner table.

Marzi and I had ordered the s'mores to split and Mom got the Boston cream pie, when he presented Mom with her dessert I was in awe, this wasn't just a dessert, it was art.

It was really tasty too, we all shared eachothers desserts, they were yummy, but we were so full we couldn't finish, Uncle Tim did not like that we were being wasteful, but he was pleased that we did finish our meals and that I loved the meat loaf, he brought us the bill, we settled up and as we were leaving he told us to not wait so long in btween visits but also next time call first before coming over, it's rude to just drop in like that.

We left the restaraunt, took some pictures for a while, and then on the way out I stopped to get my camera strap, it took a total of 30 seconds. I should have never tried to go in that store when a parade was on it's way, live and learn.

The bus ride back was uneventful, except for the people that cut in line, we Marzi and I knew we'd still get a seat on the bus so we didn't say anything.

We called Janis when we got back to Pop to see if she was hungry, she asked that we bring her some soup, so Mom went and got what Janis needed, and we all went up to the room, Marzi and I got our mugs and went down for hot coco, we were tired so we didn't stay long.

Back in the room we got on our jammies and crawled into bed, even though we were tired we weren't ready to sleep, so we filled Janis in on the day, we watched a little bit of T.V. and then after an hour we finally turned out the lights and went to sleep.

My screamin gphone woke me, I'm sure I jumped out of bed answered the phone and stepped outside in a matter of seconds, it was Kent, I was still too tired to go down to the pop shop or pool to talk so I just sat outside the door and talked to him for a while, we said our goodnights after about 20 minutes. I go back in the room using my cell phone for light, I no longer get settled into bed when I hear the neighbors door slam and the yelling began.

Woman: We almost had a good day, but NOOOooooo, you had to ruin it.

Man: How did I ruin it?

Woman: By opening your sarcastic mouth, we went the whole day having fun with no arguments, but you can't let me have one day of peace can you?

Man: And you can't go ten minutes without spending money.

Woman: so this is about money? you didn't complain once all day, I thought you were mad at the crowds at the bus stop.

Man: that was the fuel to the fire, I was livid about the money you kept dropping.

At this point I plugged i the noise maker, turned it up as loud as it would go and buried my head under the pillow. I wanted to cry, I really did, they just weren't happy, even at Disney, no happiness for them.

coming up next, Mom's night full of nightmares.

That was such a fun lunch to read about! I love that you got a server that was soooo into it!

I avoid ALL parade routes, including shops within 50 miles during parade times!! Those areas are always a zoo!!! Maddeningly so, in fact. Thanks for the reminder!!!

Yeah, I always pick me lines like that one you got too. Blah, blah,blah.... can't make up my mind,,, blah, I need 4 more hours to decide, blah...
(Walmart before the trip, people..psst. it's cheaper, too).

I feel so, so sorry for those people who can't seem to get along AT.ALL. So sad. And worse that they bring the entire Western World into their private business!

You didn't mention your leg in this installment, so I hope it wasn't bugging you too badly this day!

I loved PTC! My 7 year old is still talking about the "kitchen restaurant, where they act like your aunt". I have some great pictures of my husband in an Ariel bib. Our server had so much fun embarassing him.
Glad you had a good time in Texas with your nieces! :thumbsup2

We did have an awesome server at Prime time, he made the meal worth it. I didn't have such a great server last time and I only booked this TS meal again because I thought Mom would really enjoy it.

For the most part I am good at avoiding crowds, I was just having an off day and no thinking when I got stuck in that mess. And I always end up in the long lines, I tend over think which line to get into as well, sometimes I will see a short line but purposely won't get into it thinking that with my luck it will be the longest wait and then it ends up being a good line that I missed out on, I have no luck when it comes to lines.

The fighting couple was a downer, at least I never saw them at any parks, I myself though if I had a bone to pick with my DH would not yell, yelling gets ya no where, we learned that early on in our marriage, we have a promise that we will never go to bed angry at eachother but the key to solving anything is to talk it out not yell over eachother like my neighbors at Pop did. it was sad, really sad. And do you seriously want people to know your business?

I have heard it a million times on the board and it is true, a good server can make or break your meal experience, I'm glad you guys had a good server, ours was so much into character I actually started to believe that Mom and Uncle Tim were siblings who fought for thier Mothers attention.

I can't imagine my DH ever wearing a bib, let alone an ariel bib, your DH is a good sport, I bet that just made it all the more memorable for your child.

I did have a great time with my nieces, I can't wait to take them to Disney.
