What if I'm late for PS reservations?

Has anyone been considerably late for their PS reservations? What happened? I have every intention of being on time, but if the kids fall asleep or something, we may end up running behind. Just curious if they tried to fit you in or if you were better off eating somewhere else.

We were going to be almost an hour late for our 6PM Flying Fish PS. We called dining to get another time and they gave us one after 8PM. We ended up walking by the restaurant at 7PM and they seated us immediately.

Been up to 45 minutes late and have never been turned away. They just add you in...I've also been 1hr early with the same results.

I think it all depends on how busy the restaurant is at that time. We have been early and late (by just a few minutes) at several places before - usually with no problem.

However, we were 10 mins. late for Sci Fi Dine In this past March and the hostess made sure to point this out to us and to make us wait approximately 30 mins. for another table.

I would just hope for the best and try to schedule as many PS's as possible during a time when the children would not likely be napping, etc.. ( Although I realize this is sometimes hard to do!) ...or...during less busy times of the day (ie: 11:00 AM for lunch or 4:30 or 5:00PM for dinner.

For the most part - I think you should be O.K.

I read a post a few weeks ago from someone on the board who was late for the Norway Storybook Princess Breakfast by 10 minutes and was TURNED AWAY!

That is the only instance I have heard of anyone being turned away...

My DU agent told us we should check in at CRT at least 5 mins BEFORE our PS time or we risked losing it! I also read with horror about the woman who was 10 mins. late to PSB and was turned away, and have changed our morning plans to accommodate getting there *way* early! I would be devastated to be told, sorry you're late, no princesses for you!

I'm sure at "regular" (non-princess :)) restaurants, it wouldn't be such a huge deal.

Laurie :)

Nover been late for a ps but have been early, sometimes up to an hour and have always been fitted in.

Never been late...but, I wouldn't want to chance it if it is someplace you really want to eat at.

If you see that you are going to be late...I would pick up the phone...call disney dining and try to rearrange your ps.

If you are late you will be treated like a walk up and put at the bottom of the list and get a table after everyone ahead of you. If you have a PS you are automatically at the top of the list.

So, depending on how crowded it is and how many are waiting, you may be seated right away, or may have to wait an hour or more for a table.
