What if I don't like my cabin?

Hi, what happens if for some reason you don't like your room, it's location or something else once you get there? Is there any recourse? Can DCL do anything for you once you are on board? We have two adjoining rooms and want to be sure everything is great...don't want to be disappointed.

Thank you,

Michael

At that point you have very little choices. I would research very carefully beforehand.

If the ship wasn't sold-out, you could be moved - but you better have a very good reason. I suppose some people have tried before - simply for personal gain and DCL is probably wise to that.

Unless there was physical or technical problem that could not be corrected (toilet doesn't work, A/C not functioning, door won't close close, etc.) your probably going to stay put.

Any cabin on that terrific ship will be great and much better than not being onboard. Don't stress and enjoy the cruise.

Thanks! We just booked on Deck One and didn't want to be disappointed because of being too low...too close to the elevators...etc..thank again, Mike

Arrrrr! Bucko...Ye gets to walk the plank or get a Flogging..pirate:

Me see you are a Bilge rat..

Will like the lower levels...No sea sickness..

You won't be disappointed on Deck 1. Have a great time!!

On one of our first cruises, before I knew any better, we were assigned one of the noisiest staterooms onboard (2520)....DCL was exceptionally accommodating in granting us the option to move staterooms if we wanted....

Don't fret if you are near the elevators either. A few weeks ago, we were on Deck 7 right off the Forward elevators and never heard a peep!!

A friend of mine was on deck 2 in the back somewhere and had a horrible noisy cabin!! She didn't get any sleep the first night and Disney ended up moving her to a new cabin in the middle of deck 2. She was much happier!

I was wondering if DCL allowed upgrades after seeing your cabin. When we sail on Celebrity they post what rooms are available for upgrade when you embark. The sign will say the original category and then how much it would be to upgrade to a better cabin ( Concierge to Royal Suite $2000).

Could you inquire about that when you board and do they discount on the day of sailing?

Althought it's on the list, it's not a noisy stateroom. I spent 7 days in 2518, the room immediately to the left of 2520, and there was absolutely no noise from above or below. The most noise came from the little girl in 2520 who cried every morning.

2518 and 2520 are under Diversions. There were no events that were so noisy as to bleed through from above.
