What if flight is late and late for ADR?

Hi everyone!

We leave for Disney on Saturday and I am SO excited and happy!

One concern that popped into my head: our flight is due to arrive in Orlando at 3 PM, and we have a 6:10 ADR at 1900 Park Fare, which is in our hotel. This sounds do-able, as I'm figuring 1.5-2 hours from landing to hotel, by the time we get bags and whatnot.

But what if the flight is late? Are restaurants usually able to sit people who show up late for an ADR? Should we try to CALL if we are stuck cooling our heels in Baltimore? And if so, do we call Disney Dining or the restaurant itself?

Hopefully everything will work out just fine and this will be a non-problem, but I want to be prepared.

Disney restaurants typically honor an ADR up to 20 min past the time. If you're really concerned you may want to try for a later ADR now, if any are still available. Worst-case, you can try for walk-up accommodation.

I would just show up. A lot would depend on how late. Since you will be staying at GF, if you have a late arrival while in line to check in to the hotel, one of you can go over to 1900PF and explain the situation. Especially with the rest of the party checking in I am sure you would be able to get a dispensation.

Are you using Magical Express? When I was just there (got back Saturday) we used Magical Express and we landed at 9:50am and were in our room with bags at 1:30-a little over 3 1/2 hours. So you might want to pack what you would want to wear to dinner in a carryon. If you are not using ME, just ignore me!

I've found if you explain that a late flight (or something similar) is the reason; they will try there best to still accomodate you. We had a similar situation on our first day at Yachtman's Steakhouse and they were still able to seat us.
