Hi everybody, We are flying out to Disney tomorrow for a week, and as usual I procastinate on everything and I am thinking of things last minute. DD9 has gotten to where she doesn't really always want to order the kids menus at restaurants. I was wondering does she have to order off the kids menus at all of the restaraunts or can she order some regular dinners if she wants? I am assuming she will have to order the kids menu since she is under 10 and we paid less for her, but I didn't know if they did allow otherwise.

Thanks

If you are on the Dining Plan then she will have to order off the kids menu where one is available. If you are NOT on the plan then she can order what ever she wants.

You mention that you already paid for her, I am going to answer assuming that you purchased the DDP.

If you're on the DDP you will have to order from the kids menu for your daughter. You can purchase appetizers or something more adult to round out her meal if you choose and just pay for those OOP.

If you are paying OOP for your daughter you can, of course, order whatever you want for her.

There is only an issue when using the DDP.

This is true - if you are on the dining plan she must order from the children's menus. $10 a day doesn't cover the regular menu. You may order and pay for anything you'd like to supplement her meal, but she cannot use child dining credits to pay for anything other than children's meals.

You may want to check out some of the counter service that don't have children's menus :

• Catalina Eddie
• Toluca Turkey Legs
• Cool Wash Pizza
• Casey's
• Pete's Doggone Good dogs
• Sommerfest
• Yorkshire County Fish Shop
Main Street Bakery
Boardwalk Bakery

Because these places don't have children's menus, a child credit can be used to pay for anything off the regular menu.

You're stuck at TS restaurants though - they all have children's menus. Buffets and all-you-can-eat family style meals might be good for your daughter because everyone eats the same food at these, whether they pay with an adult or child credit.

I'm guessing you have already made all your ADR's since you're flying out tomorrow. Did you book any buffets? We try to eat at a lot of buffets so our kids can eat whatever they want. They are not restricted to the children's sections at buffet restaurants. You can always call dining from your room and see if any buffets have openings while you are there. Good luck!
