What if any were the deals for July of this year? Am looking to go in July of next year. After getting a quote of over 4,000:scared1: for 8 nights at the pop, with dining plan and hoppers with no airfare, I am def hoping there will be some sort of deals avail or I doubt we will be going. Already considering dumping the ddp but really don't want to unless absolutely necessary.

This past July had a package discount as well as a room discount. I believe you could have booked the 4/3 deal into July as well, if you booked early enough. I think the only blackout date might be 4th of July, but if you are avoiding the holiday weekend you should be good to get a discount.

You can always book your res. now watch for deals to come available. When they are announced, call quick and try and have it applied to your res. If there is availability for the discount, then you will get the discount.

As a TA, I keep my eye out for discounts (which is one reason I hang out at the Dis) so I can always have the best deal for my clients. I'm currently watching for the March 2010 discounts to come out, so I can save $$ on my own trip. ;)

This past year the offer was released at the first of May, so you have a while. ;)

However, the 4/3 deal came out in Nov but they kept extending the booking window, and I'm not 100% sure if you were able to book July when it was first offered, or if you had certain 'travel by' dates.

I'd really re-consider the DDP and dropping it. Looking at your signature you are paying full adult price for everyone in your group so thats something like $168-$188 PER DAY that you are paying. Take a look at the menus available and prices only and see what you would expect out of pocket. Would your family normally eat that much food in a day? The dining plan is only worth it if you can say that yes your family will eat that much or more. Of course using your TS credits wisely and getting the 'most expensive' entrees will get you more bang for your buck but with the price increases and restrictions on what you can order it may not be the best deal for your family. We use dining plan when its 'free' and we book at a value hotel (that the best deal) but I dont know that we could justify eating enough normally to pay for it out of pocket.

I TOTALLY agree with you on this. I went in June 09, thought about the dining plan but did not think with DD10 and DD16 plus DH that we would spend $160/day on lunch/dinner/snack plus tips were not included. Allearsnet.com has all the menus, I sort of figured out where we were most likely to eat and did the math. If you missed one TS meal, it really wasn't worth it. As it turned out, it was SO hot when we were there, we ate very lightly so I was glad we had not gotten it. Most people I talk to love the dining plan and think it's easy, but I think it is expensive for mine.
