Last year I got a turtle! :lmao:

2009 has not been a good year so far. In the past 4 months our family has experienced 3 deaths. (My DH lost both of his grandparents and my sister's fiance passed.) Currently my older DD is very sick. I don't have full diagnosis as I am waiting for the test results from Children's Hospital. The diagnosis' that I do have are: Strep throat, sinus infection, ear infection, bronchitis and urinary tract infection. We are waiting for test results for mono and pneumonia. (The MD is fairly sure they will be negative.) She is on 2 antibiotics and 3 other meds, but not feeling any better yet.

We leave for WDW in 12 days. I just want my girls to get up and give me a hug. They both made me a card from the free Hallmark promo and a friend took the younger one shopping and she purchased something in addition to made something at school. :flower3:

Boy do I feel guilty for complaining about the turtle last year! Happy Mother's Day to all the Mom's out there and a special hug to those who have lost their Moms. :grouphug:

Take a few minutes off today to just catch your breath. This too shall pass. A trip to Disney always makes things better. Have a great trip!

I just wanted to update that my DDs both got up and hugged me. I would have updated that sooner, but I almost killed my mother for Mother's Day. :scared1:

My Mom is 84 years old and works for 1/2 hour in the garden every day. She believes she gets her energy from the earth or something. :confused3 Anyhow, we gave her an azalea bush for Mother's Day and she planted it. :flower3: She came in complaining of heart burn. After 6 rolaids she says "My jaw is numb do you think I could be having a heart attack?" Off to the ER we went.

I am happy to say that all of the heart test came back normal. However, her blood pressure when I got her to the ER was 208/90!!! :scared: It has come down with medication and they admitted her.

I am going to go drink a wine cooler, take a bath and go to bed. I will so be ready for this upcoming vacation. Older DD doesn't know about it so if we just relax by the resort pool, that is fine too. When it rains here, it pours.

Just put the MD's call tomorrow into perspective for me. Mono and pneumonia are curable and everything is going to be ok.

Again, hope everyone had a Happy Mother's Day. :grouphug: Thanks for letting me unload. I really am doing ok, just needed to type it all out to process it all if that makes sense.

Whew, what a time you have had! I am glad you have the trip coming up and that everyone is healthy! We will be at Disney at the same time, we leave 13 days!

*huge hugs* for you! I'm sending prayers your way for your DD, mom and whole family!
