I bought a 5 year old red and white paint gelding - I've named "Tytefit" do his love of squeezing between two trees to avoid the mud!

THEN I bought my 6 year old sorrel gelding "Red" back from the person who bought him and still can't ride him - this was our original horse that Michael (my 8 yr old son wsa riding) - the horse loves us and visa versa!!!!!

So now I am feeling very "Fred McMurry" with the 18 year old golden palomino "Cheyenne" rounding out "My Three Sons"!
We have ridden every day and don't plan on stopping now!!!!

And that's what I did after my DCL cruise October 25-Nov 1!

Rae,
I want you to know that I sincerely and truely enjoyed meeting not only you, but your mom and Michael - Norm was just thrilled to have the chance to interact with Michael since not only is that his grandson's name, but age and everything else reminded him - boy was he sentimental after you all left - how was Key West - did you find the church - what all did you do? Please extend our sincere hello to your mom, the now retired nurse" - anyhow thanks again for taking the time to stop by and share your family with us - was sorry you couldn't stay longer - if you get the chance, call the shop ok.
Hugsssssssssss to all of you
Always
Shirley

shirley - it was a great honor! I couldn't believe how warmly you welcomed us and we are still talking about that being our "Florida highlight". I am sending you a pm -

Lots of love,
Rae

Hey, Rae. Glad you got Red back.

Hey Rae~
just pretend you're on the beach while riding your sons... maybe that will help any post cruise blues

rae,

Congrats on the new horse.

I started riding at age 12, got my first horse at 13, bred her to a paint stallion few years later and still have that foal (now almost 25 yrs old). She was out to pasture for a few years because of time issues but I recently moved her to a new barn and my youngest(DD12) is now taking lessons and has also fallen in love with the sport, this will probably be a lifelong pastime as it has been for me. My older two showed no interest.

There is nothing more relaxing than grooming a filthy horse and then taking it for a long leisurely trail ride, except maybe the obligatory shower after.

Enjoy them all.

Lynn

Red is a lucky guy!

Glad to see that he has rejoined his family.
