What I’ve learned about Amazon this Christmas

I’m not a big online shopper but have used Amazon on occasion through the years. This year we were looking for the Barbie Townhouse at 1 point down to $129.99 right after Halloween, I hesitated & up it went $149.99 ~ extra $20 no way! :scared1: Day after Thanksgiving, got it $99.99!:woohoo:

On the flip side Handy Manny fix-it motorcycle $24.01, just found it last week & thought it’d be so perfect for Dnephew, but I already had a gift for him so I hesitated, last night down to $19.99 :goodvibes but now I need to add something for free shipping, too tired so I’ll do it in the morning. Wrong ~ now he’s $26.91  an extra almost $7 no way!!

I can only console myself with the Barbie Townhouse steal. And of course lesson learned ~ "If it's the right price grab it because it'll change. If it's a steal ~ buy 3 or 4 or as many as DH will allow & sell them on eBay." the Barbie Townhouse is going for $199.99.

I know how you feel. I bought a game for DD last week, and it was $6 cheaper the other day. DH laughed at me when I was trying to see if I could cancel the order so I could rebuy it at the cheaper price. No luck, but it would have been nice.

My dad also wants the new Transformers and the new Star Trek dvds for Christmas. Of course he tells me this after all the first week sales are done. I'm hoping they'll be in a lightning deal in the next day or so, but so far, no dice.

I had the same problem with electronics this year. I now have 2 netbooks and 2 notebooks (only need 1 each, but the 2nd one of each a significantly better system for the same price). Thursday I'll be driving to Target and Staples to return the spares.

I have been watching for the Transformers dvd to go for a good price since Nov. I finally got it on Amazon 2 days ago for 14.99, I gave up before it went back up to 19.99!
