Just wondering if you could help we are planning to go to florida in July but cant decide on which hotel to choose. I have looked at all star resorts which looked good and well worth staying at but i have seen the port orleans resort which looks nice.
So for value and comfort i dont know which one to go for coz they both look great. So is there anyone that stayed at those resorts that can give me some idea as to which one i should choose.
:confused3

we have stayed at all the all stars and we much prefer pop century as its newer and also only one hotel for the buses instead of 3 at the all stars

we are staying at port orleans french quarter this aug so not sure but we love the look of it. We stayed at coronado last year

I would def stay at pop century again as wel loved it there if you want a value hotel

hi we love port orleans riverside. Its quite a big resort with a main pool and about 5 quiet pools. The food court is great with plenty of choice. The grounds are really beautiful. Never stayed at allstars so cant comment on them.
We stayed in port orleans last july and going back this july:banana:

I stayed at All Stars Music and Port Orleans Riverside and I think both resorts are great. Port Orleans is quieter and and more spread out and relaxed while All Stars Music has pool actvities during the day such as dancing, bingo etc and a movie at night on a big screen at the pool so depends on what sort of atmosphere you want. I think the values are fantastic value, I booked music again for this year as it was half the price as POR however if you want a quiet resort though I'd go with POR.

All stars music has had a refurb so the rooms are in newer condition than Pop. :) PO shares buses too and never had a proplem there or Music at busy times they seem to have enough buses that are needed and don't share. I would just go with the one that theming and price appeals the most, I wanted to try Pop however Music was cheaper for us and I wanted the cheapest price for this trip.:)

I was just giving my opinion and having waited at dtd for an hour while full buses past us when staying at all stars and not when staying at pop, this is what made me metion the buses.

I was just saying that during our stay in september that the 3 resorts most of the time didn't share buses, maybe they have changed it since you last stayed there.:)

I think it depends on what you want from the hotel. I've stayed at all star movies and the kids loved the themeing. I've never stayed at port orleans but I would if I wasn't taking the kids. It just seems more a quiet and laid back type of resort, which i don't think the kids would enjoy as much.

As for buses at all star resorts we have rarely shared buses with the other all stars, sometimes in the middle of the day but almost never in the morning or night. We have usually only been at the busiest times so maybe they do share more often at the quiter times.

You will just need to decide if you want to spend the extra to stay at PO or save the money and go for the All Stars. Personally I always try and get the cheapest option as I them have more spending money:banana:

I have chosen PO over a value (although it would have been Pop for us not AS) as we spend a lot of time in our room/byt the pool on holiday.

Also as a couple the idea of a quieter resort is a lot more appealing to me, and the bigger rooms are a bonus.

What really swung it for me was the boat to DTD though and that fact that POFQ has such good reviews! :)

:thumbsup2 I prefer Pop to the All stars too :goodvibes Hate the buses for All stars and i prefer the theming at Pop.

If value , imo its POP just seems brighter and bigger than the other resorts its the newest built resort too, although all stars did have a refurb last year i think, not sure if all rooms have been done yet ? Also the buses are so much better for POP as people have said All Stars share buses and they get packed real quick....

I don't know how much your wanting to pay but FirstChoice online currently have a very good offer called the Orlando offer which mean your get the 14day ultimate ticket for free, as part of the deal with accomadation, car and flights.
If you can go 16th july from manchester you can go to Animal Kingdom Lodge for £1104 per person which is cheaper than allstars music without the tickets for the same date. Portorleans riverside is £1086 with tickets on the orlando offer which is also good but its only a little more to go 2 AKL which is a deluxe! ive been to all 3 of theese resorts and realy liked POR but AKL is somthing extra special! :)

I think this offer finishes the end of march.
