What have you planned to see/do each trip, but thus far failed?

If you are going to be on Oahu, it's definitely worth a trip to the Dole Plantation for some Dole Whip. The best part about having it there is the ultra fresh pineapple chunks you can have with the Dole Whip...so good! When I went the first time, we were with my boyfriend's brother, sister-in-law, and niece, so we also did the Pineapple Express train ride, which turned out to be fun. It's a neat place to visit, and there's no charge to get on the grounds...just pay for what you want to do/eat. Both trips I've taken, we've stopped there for an hour or two on the way to Haleiwa/the North Shore. I have seen the outside of Aulani, but have never stopped to check it out (and out of my price range to seriously consider it for accommodations during my trip!).
Well we officially booked our condo today for mid-September (hubby is anxious for the beach) and he's on board for Dole Plantation too!! He actually got really excited for some fresh pineapple bless his heart :rotfl:I checked and without traffic Aulani is 20ish minutes and the Dole Plantation is just under 50 mins from our condo (though with traffic I know it would be a lot more).

Aulani is out of our price range too but I think it would be cool to check it out eat some dinner maybe get a souvinier. I like how they allow Day Guests access to the resort though it's mainly to the dining and merchandise shops but still and you can get up to 4 hours free with parking validation if you spend a certain amount at certain places; I'm kinda treating it like resort hopping and what better place to do that than Hawaii ::yes::

You know on the topic of this thread that is one thing I would like to do. I really didn't think much about actually going to the resorts on my past trips (*gasps*). I'm not sure we'll have a lot of time in our upcoming Disney trip to do a whole lot of resort hopping but maybe we can pick a few and check them out-I'm thinking at least the Boardwalk area since it reminds me of Cape Cod which we loved going to.

Add me to the list of people who have never been able to try a Dole Whip! We've tried, but every time there's been too long of a line to justify waiting. I just learned that they have them at Captain Cook's at the Polynesian, so maybe on our next trip, we'll make a stop over there so I can finally try one!

I have yet to make it through the World Showcase!! My daughters both tuckered out the days we were at Epcot on both of their one-on-one trips and so I have never walked all the way around. I also didn't get to try the Tonga toast. And I also haven't seen Illuminations, again because my daughters tuckered out too soon. lol

I keep saying I'm going to check out Rafiki's Planet Watch, but so far have never done it. This last trip I did finally do one thing I had never done, ride Astro Orbiter, and another thing I had not done since my first trip when I was two, see the Country Bear Jamboree.

Raffia's Planet Watch is mine too, there just seems like so much else to do and it keeps getting pushed aside!

I haven't made it to Flights of Wonder yet. We mean to...but the times just don't work out. I also haven't visited Animal Kingdom Lodge or any of the restaurants there. I would also like to eat at TS Yak and Yeti.

We have never made it to Indiana Jones at Hollywood Studios yet. We have somehow missed it every trip.

See the movie in Canada. I keep meaning to then either forget or get caught up in something else. There are things I haven't done (still after 33 years of going) but a lot of them are things I just don't want to do so it's not something I've chased.

Our missed attraction is Kali River also . We have visited WDW over 20 times and still not tried this ride. Sometimes it has been too cold but most times I can not get the family to agree to schlep around the park in wet clothes ! But this trip I am gonna do it, even if I gotta do it alone ! We leave in just 29 days and I am so excited I can't stand it !

When I did the College Program, on days I expected to go on a wet ride I'd roll up my elastic-waisted rain pants and put them in a grocery bag in my purse. I'd figured out that if I couldn't keep my butt dry, I just wasn't interested enough in riding Kali to brave the consequences. As soon as I was back off the ride they'd go back in my bag; it was really just about preventing the seat of my pants and my underwear from getting soaked through. Didn't do that on this last trip, and we had some discomfort from riding Splash Mountain..and just flat-out skipped Kali because it didn't seem worth it. Something I'm keeping in mind for the future is bringing short-shorts to change into for the water rides, since it seems like less to carry.

I literally spent nine months working in WDW (in two stints), going to the parks on most days off, and there are still tons of things I haven't done. Some of it was because of limited funds (I have not eaten at the vast majority of table service restaurants in WDW), but other things were ignorance. This last fall was the first time I took the time to go to a couple of resorts; we took in Hoop Dee Doo and had some down time at Trader Sam's. So, so worth it, and there's so much more than that still to do.

In particular...this is going to sound dumb because I know it gets middling to bad reviews for its food, but someday I'd like to eat at Chef Mickey's. I've seen it from the monorail so many times, but I don't think I've ever even set foot in the Contemporary.

Festival of the Lion King - I mean to see it every single year and yet something ALWAYS comes up - usually at the last minute, and we end up missing it. Someday.

I have never stayed at a Deluxe Resort (doing it in Sept :jumping1:)
I have always wanted to do the Behind the Seeds tour in EPCOT but have never been able to work it in.

I have never attended a rope drop. I have maybe 20-25 days at WDW and 100+ at DL, and not a single rope drop. I always go with late risers. There are other things I haven't done yet, but this is the one that bothers me the most. I am currently planning my first solo trip, and not telling anybody about it, so I can finally do what I want on a trip.

We always make reservations to eat at Via Napoli, but for some reason we always seem to cancel. Hoping to try it out again when we are back in July.

The Beauty and the Beast show at HS. I get vetoed every.single.time. My mom is going with us in October so it is going to happen. LOL

We have crossed off almost everything on our list except we have never gotten to eat at Liberty Tree Tavern.

Same. I have eaten at every TS place at MK except for LTT (and Skipper Canteen but that is new).

Yak and Yeti at MK. I think this is the year for that though. My 13 year old is really into Asian food so we can't miss it!

Stay at the Poly which again we are going to do this year, if only for a few days. This is the one hotel I have always wanted to try.

Meet Marie... So now I really hope she comes back sometime!

Visit/Tour the Wilderness Lodge. I have a very old and vague memory of visiting it while it was being built so I always thought it would be cool to stay there (but my parents don't remember this so maybe I'm making it up) but either way it looks awesome in photos and sometime I want to see it in person.

The Kiss Goodnight that closes MK as well as going to MK when there is not a party night. The next time!!!!

Mini golf, and Fantasmic!
I have also canceled a Coral Reef ADR twice, two separate trips.
Expedition Everest--first time the line was too long and there were no FPs left (legacy FP). Second attempt the kids chickened out.
