What have you planned to see/do each trip, but thus far failed?

We have crossed off almost everything on our list except we have never gotten to eat at Liberty Tree Tavern. I've been going to the Magic Kingdom since 1972, BTW. So, it's really gotten to be kind of embarrassing! LOL

We religiously go to Hoop-Dee-Doo, every trip.

We typically stay at WL, so Whispering Canyon is easy - and OH so good! (BTW - hidden gem & best buffet at WDW? Trails End, next door to Hoop-Dee-Doo. Seriously.)

We have made ADRs every trip for years, and I have never gotten to go and eat there. Something always happens! It has reached the point where I have resigned myself to never experiencing it - I'm kind of almost afraid to now, because what will be left to do? LOL

It's on the list - again - for our next trip. But I'm not going to hold my breath! ;)

Mine is simple. Eat a corn dog. You'd think that would be simple. I have failed 2 years in a row. Either I can't find one when I want one, or I find one when I'm not hungry and couldn't possibly enjoy one. Ugh

I've been meaning to ride the train every trip, but it seems to escape us every time. DD is train obsessed so I know she would love it, but we never seem to remember that it's there until our trip is over.

Make it to rope drop early enough to see the show at MK. The last few trips I was all gung ho but it never happens for one reason or another. I thought for sure we'd make it a few weeks ago but then it was pouring rain when we got up and decided it wasn't going to be the day.

YES! Me too. This December is my 10th trip and I've never had a Dole Whip. I will do it this time!!!!!
I had never had a Dole Whip at Disney until I after I went to Hawaii in 2012 and had one at the Dole Plantation on Oahu. It's funny...so many people associate Dole Whip and Disney. I now have a Dole Whip at Disney because it gives me a small taste of Hawaii. It appears that Dole Whip is having a bit of a resurgence. I had some at a frozen yogurt shop in my home town when I was visiting last month and recently discovered a shop near me will have it available within the next week or two.

I've gone on two trips each a week long and I have yet to try a corn dog, Mickey ice cream bar, churros, and Jungle Juice. I haven't even been able to go to Animal Kingdom either because we wanted more time at other parks or was just too tired to leave our resort that day. Lol.

I always say next trip we'll try, but we never do. :sad2:

I've never seen Wishes. It is on my must do list for our trip next month, but I have young children and I'm afraid they might not make it (which is why I haven't seen it in the past!)

For me, like PPs, Dole Whip!!! The other is Harry Potter at Universal. I know that's not Disney but we keep meaning to spend a day there and can never tear ourselves away from WDW to make it happen!

Flights of Wonder - it's been on the list for the past few trips and always gets missed. This next trip we're doing it NO MATTER WHAT :)

Another one for a Dole Whip!!!!
And probably Dumbo---never been on Dumbo. I will have to try it this visit in December since it's my mom's first visit...I bet she would enjoy it!

Pot roast mac & cheese. Seems like such a little thing, but we're always right there and yet never seem to grab some.

I've never made it to Sea World Orlando. We did make it to sea world san diego once and it was okay. But the shows seemed to be timed against you so that when one show let out, you'd miss the next show nearby and the day just didn't seem to go smoothly. So I always wind up doing something else when I go to Orlando.
And I've never NOT stopped at the Aloha Isle any day that I have been in the MK.

Opening show at MK. Every time we seem to end up arriving just after it's finished. We just can't seem to get up any earlier!

Our missed attraction is Kali River also . We have visited WDW over 20 times and still not tried this ride. Sometimes it has been too cold but most times I can not get the family to agree to schlep around the park in wet clothes ! But this trip I am gonna do it, even if I gotta do it alone ! We leave in just 29 days and I am so excited I can't stand it !

We're planning a trip (don't have any kids so just my husband and I) to Oahu for September or October staying at condos in Makaha.

I convinced my husband to go visit Aulani for a day trip but now that you mentioned the Dole Plantation I think that would also be a great day trip. I would love to get me some Dole Whip! Bonus for me is it would remind me of both Hawaii and Disney

I might have a hard time convincing my in-laws to do it. My husband and I went last time and I was soaked (like way soaked but I had an absolute blast especially because the wait was like 45 minutes in the sun and heat..we had just hit it at the wrong time) but it didn't bother me all that much. The thing is I'm wondering if they will be willing to ride Kali River Rapids and/or Popeye & Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges because we have a ride exactly like both of those call Fury of the Nile at Worlds of Fun (our local amusement park). The only major difference is the theming and also the drops/level of wetness but I truly enjoy each one of them...just don't know if the in-laws will see it as worth it especially since we'll be visiting both WDW and USO. I just try to wear clothes that will dry faster..maybe that will help convince them (we'll be going in September..it will still be very hot then).

If you are going to be on Oahu, it's definitely worth a trip to the Dole Plantation for some Dole Whip. The best part about having it there is the ultra fresh pineapple chunks you can have with the Dole Whip...so good! When I went the first time, we were with my boyfriend's brother, sister-in-law, and niece, so we also did the Pineapple Express train ride, which turned out to be fun. It's a neat place to visit, and there's no charge to get on the grounds...just pay for what you want to do/eat. Both trips I've taken, we've stopped there for an hour or two on the way to Haleiwa/the North Shore. I have seen the outside of Aulani, but have never stopped to check it out (and out of my price range to seriously consider it for accommodations during my trip!).
