We've only ever used a discount on our last vacation- we always go in Jan/Feb but it wasn't until last year when the big 4/3 deal came out that we were made aware that these deals even existed.

Anyway, I posted a thread about the likelihood of another 4/3 or similar deal happening NEXT winter since they're doing a 4/3 (5/2) deal this year, too...but if it's not likely for them to continue it for another year, I'm curious as to what the discounts they've offered during those months in the past have been?? Specifically package discounts, but I'm interested in all of the others as well. We're not AP holders or FL residents or anything.

Anybody know? I tried looking at the "historical information" but couldn't find what the actual offers were, just their release dates.

Prior to 2009 the Jan/Feb deal was free park hopping and water fun & more added to your tickets. This didn't do much for me with an AP so I never paid much attention to these offers. I think it might have included a very small discount (10-15%) on the room also.

Here's a little more info for you from this past year (2009) on those historical info dates for offers that were not AP or FL Res :goodvibes:

Of course THESE ARE NOW EXPIRED! :)

For stays 1/4/09-4/2/09 package discount for general public became available on 12/4/08, exp 1/4/09
Walt Disney World has released a new Magic Your Way package for the travel dates above. Since you cannot "stack" discounts you will have to compare this discount to the previously released buy 4 get 3 free promotion, to figure out which is the better deal for your stay. If you received the $200 Disney Gift Card, you are probably better off with the 4/3. However, if you are staying more or less than 7 nights, or are staying at a value resort you should compare total package prices.
The discounts of this package will correspond with the room only discounts released for the same travel dates above. The Magic Your Way package allows you to add park passes and the Disney Dining Plans to your reservation.

For stays 1/4/09-6/27/09 package discount (7 nights for price of 4) for general public became available on 11/6/08, exp 12/20/08, extended to 1/24/09, extended to 3/29/09
Travel Dates: January 4 – August 15, 2009
Walt Disney World has released a 7 night Magic Your Way package, complete with Disney resort and at least 4 day Magic Your Way park passes, and pay for a 4 night stay, giving you three days/nights free!
Note some dates between April 4 – 18, 2009, are blacked out, and may not be available. (* Note from me - some DISers reported getting those dates after all)
Any of the Disney Dining plans can be added to these packages, however, you will not get dining for the “nights free” - you will pay full price on the dining plans for the extra days. You can stay longer than 7 nights, up to 10 nights total, however, you will still only receive three of your nights free, and will pay full price for all other nights.
For Travel Dates: January 4 -March 29, 2009
In addition to the three nights free promotion, if you travel during the dates listed above, you will also receive a $200 Disney Resort gift card at check in.
Travel Dates: April 19 – August 15, 2009
Travel during the dates listed above, and stay at either Old Key West or Saratoga Springs to receive a $100 Disney Resort gift card at check in

For stays 1/4/09-6/30/09 package discount (25% off Platinum Package) for general public became available on 12/4/08, exp 2/15/09
Receive 25% off of a Magic Your Way package that includes the Platinum Plan. Includes discounted Disney resort, park passes and the Platinum add-on.
You must stay at least three nights at a Disney Deluxe resort, or at a few of the Disney Deluxe Villa resorts (Beach Club Villas, Boardwalk Villas or Villas at Wilderness Lodge), Magic Your Way park passes, three meals and two snacks per person per day, unlimited tours and recreation, a spa treatment, tickets to Cirque du Soleil, a fireworks cruise and much more.

Thanks. :) We actually used the deal on our vacation in 2009 but I wasn't aware of what was out there other than the b4g3 deal (that's what we used). I'm assuming, though, that since it was a big promo time, that even the other deals were a little "better' than usual? I guess that's why I'm wondering what ones before 2009 were like.

Here is the page on mousesavers that will show you discounts for a few years back - what they were and when they were released. I hope that's what you were asking about, at least I thought it was, lol! It does not give the prices of rooms at that time, though, so if that's what you were looking for, sorry! :goodvibes

thanks! I looked at that but what I couldn't tell was when they say "1/1/06-3/8/06 package discounts for general public 11/1/05, exp 12/18/05", I wondered what the "package discount" was, ya know? I see the ones later in the year say "free dining" but we only travel in Jan/Feb so I was curious as to what the discount actually was during that time.
