Further to the posting that went err slightly off topic in Trip planning, just a little game for you all. Should not take too long for someone to answer (Scottish Sue can't play, she knows! )

I had to hand it back today (BOOOOO!) :rotfl:
But what has Obi been playing with for the last two weeks?
Picture below (sorry, only had the camera phone with me)

No Idea Obi, is it a Lexus? It looks nice whatever it is!:)

JAGUAR XF? Looks very nice, but can't get DW to look at Jags or Mercs:mad: She loves the BMW and can't get her to change.

Goofyish the winner!

This is the deisel version, yet still very fast, 2.7 ltr top speed 147 MPH, 0-60 7.7 secs but gives 37 miles to teh gallon. Fantastic gear leaver, when you push the starter button (which flashes red untill you press it), the knob extends from the centre console and you turn it for which drive position you want. when you stop and turn it to park, the knob goes down into the console. (You can also get paddle gears, but thats really for the supercharged versions) Lovely phosphur blue dials, and a superb sound system. It had an optional Bowers and wilkings 440 watts surround sound and DAB radio, all controlledfrom the facia. The cubby box opens by just touching the boxlid, same as the centre console lights.
the seats had heating and cooling elements which work independantly of the cabin air con, so you can have a hot car and a cool bum! :goodvibes
Very impressed.
Looking to buy six deisel XF's for the Managers and some new Mondeos (also a cvery nice car) for the Engineers in my company.

What's wrong with a nice Ford Focus? ;)

Same as my wife, won't look at anything that's not a Range Rover or, at a pinch, a HSE Discovery. We have compromised that she can only change them now every two years.
She had a BMW 530 Tourer but hated it. Did not like to be so low to the ground and enclosed.

Nice car from the side shot although I do not like the front design of it:rolleyes:

My dad loves Jags, me I would prefer an Aston Martin if money was no object:goodvibes

I'm the same, I hate driving cars which are low to the ground. I've had a new ML series every year since I can remember, I wouldn't change them for the world!

nice :woohoo: from a girlie perspective

can I also add that I am so pleased that Jennifer Saunders has pipped in at no 2 on the Top Gear score board :thumbsup2 .

It actually looks better "in the flesh" from the front than the picture shows. It also looks better in light colours than darker ones. This is the new corporate front for all future Jags, I have seen the XJ replacement, rather Audi looking I think.

As for the Aston, well, always been my love. I have an 1988 AMV8, Oscar India version, costs me a bomb to keep in condition, but its my weekend/Sunday drive beast.
Not that impressed with the latest ones, too much based upon the Jag floorpans. The XKR is a lovely looking thing though.

Very nice.... i'm currently looking at a new contract vehicle up to £400 / month, so currently tossing up between either

the mondeo estate (the stylish side of me says take this one with the top trim level for all the toys and a little bit of practicality {hence the estate})

or the S-Max (the practical side of me says take this one with top trim level for all the toys and a load area large enough to swallow a large elephant).

Either would be the 2 litre diesel auto, just can't decide between them!!!! Any thoughts anyone? (preferably from current owners if there is any here on the DIS!!!!!)

mmmm Jaguar XF.... sadly too far out of my price range :(

I am another Landrover convert! Just traded my Mini in for one and love it! Your wife has good taste!:thumbsup2
