what has changed that you miss?

I miss the Captain EO film starring Michael Jackson, I love 3D.

We saw this the first time we went in 1993. Cant say I miss it was I was impressed at the time. I just remember how empty the park was then. I must dig out the photos and ring the changes

We saw the Aladdin parade I'd love to see DLP become more adventureous with parades, especially with new releases rather than recycle the same one

I was going to say that the silouette artist is still there (just off Main Street) but this could be at WDW.

We wanted to see Le Visionarium really badly and was gutted that Buzz had replaced it, as we had ridden Buzz many times in Florida. Also in Florida, they had closed the Timekeeper (US version of Le Visionarium) for good as well before our last visit - it had always been 'seasonal' before that ie closed everytime we visited. I suppose we were never destined to see it.

Oh and I would have loved to have seen the old Electrical Light Parade - love these old type of parades - it's the music - saw it on a DVD of DLRP which we bought last May.

Something I really miss at DLP is not something from the good old days, but something from DL in California: more "artists". In DL, one can have his silhoutte made, a portrait made, they make those little paintings with your name/ initials/ whatever you ask them for in "Fantaslyland-themed letters", ...

I have never seen things like that at DLP.

I also kind of miss the entertainment in the streets, like a band playing music, or those Victorian ladies from WDW-MK on mainstreet or dancing the hokey pokey with brer rabbit in Frontierland or or or...

Re the fireworks, I was told by a friend who lived in Paris that, as well as financial constraints:
The locals like to hunt (shooting in particular) and that the noise of fireworks decimated the wild pheasant/woodpidgeon etc in the forests of the area as they lay in the late springtime, so they lobbied to get rid of the loud noisy fireworks on a wildlife angle - then THEY get rid of the wildlife with their loud noisy guns!!!
Knowing the power of the French rural lobbies, I doubt the Fireworks will return at this time of year anytime soon... Though it is a shame there won't be any for the 15th celebrations....

I should think so, this all took place a few years ago, when they first had the fireworks all year round - hasn't been all year round for some time now. Don't know what year they stopped them, but was told by my cynical friend that this may have been one of the reasons...
