Now that each person's name is on the resort ID and it is the extra magic hr admittance - 1.does the person, say my child, have to go to the desk to have another one issued or can anyone in our party go down to the front desk and report it lost and get a replacement? 2. Could any finder of the lost card use it for Extra Magic Hours?

Just trying to understand, why they are putting each individual name on the cards, instead of issuing 4 cards with no names to a reservation of 4 people.

I'm not sure what you are asking but as far as I remember each room card we have gotten in the last few years (if not longer) has had each person's name on it. If a card is lost the front desk at the resort should be notified as some cards have charging privileges. We specify which cards (usually only my wife and myself) can be used for room charges.

I guess the room card is used for transportation, early and late admission, room key of course, and charge card.

Any adult can ask for a new card at the front desk. The old card will be de-activated in the computer so that it cannot be used. I know this from experience. DS had "lost" his card. We got a new one. Later in the week, we used what we thought to be the new card. It would not work. Come to find out it was the lost card.

Probably. The system of showing ID cards for EMH admittance isn't fool proof, but to go with anything more stringent isn't worth the costs to implement.

I actually like having all the names on the room key, then we know who has their own and who cant find their key. Instead of me taking the blame for someone loosing their key we were at the poly during spring break and i lost my key ( it was actually in my front suite case, dont know how it got there) i went down to concierge to let them know i lost my key and the cm told me she had to shut off all 4 keys and issued us all new keys. these were the keys with everyones names on them. this is how i knew it was my key missing in action.
