What happens to the teams in Jan?

Howdy everyone! I was wondering what happens to all the teams come January? Do you stay on the same team or do the teams break up and people get assigned to another team so you get to meet new people? I may be in the market for a team. I've never participated before, but it looks like fun.

Deb and someone else (is it Carrie???) usually works on setting up the teams around February.

You can choose to be on the same team, or move on to another. Pretty flexible. But, they try to keep the team numbers even.

Jeff perhaps you can explain the team concept to me when we have dinner in January. It sound like a good concept of working together toward a common goal. Not sure if Disney 2011 is in the cards but there are plenty of other races out there.
 
Hey, folks! I'm not sure what will happen with the teams come 2010. The idea for the teams came from Windwalker (Panda) Dave, who was coordinating the 2009 teams with Susie. I'm not quite sure what happened, but Susie had to drop out of sight for a while (much like me in November) and I started a new thread and just kept up distributing members to the teams Dave and Susie organized.

Anyhooooo....the teams can live on, redistribute, shuffle, stay the same, add new members, etc. As far as I know, it's kind of a collective decision, where team captains solicit feedback from members. Not a top-down kind of thing at all. At least that's what happened last year.

If and when we do start new teams, I think they begin February 1st, with January being sort of a hiatus/reorganization time (what with so many of us at marathon weekend.)

So, I'm not an expert by any means--and think this thread might be a good place to solicit feedback and ideas! :thumbsup2

I think it is actually anyone who votes Nea then they volunteer to be the new coordinator.
