Anyone want to hazard a guess?! I'm still thinking about jumping into DVC, but I'll definitely buy resale, since I only want around 100 points. What might happen to the price per point of SSR once AKV sales open to the public? Just wondering if I ought to move fast or if it might even be better to hold off...

My guide told me last night that SSR goes to $104 when AKV goes to $104. Of course, they offer a higher discount on the SSR points.

Buy when you find a contract you feel comfortable with it seems that the price for DVC always goes up and not down. DVC does buy the contrcat itself if it is below a certain price so you will venver get it any lower than that price or rarely......
I bough from Disney after considering buying less points or even at a diffrent resort and when it all added up the best choice for me was going with Disney. I like to stay at diffrent resorts and not satying at one over another does not bother me so it came down to $$$.
Good Luck

The resale price for SSR will remain at whatever level DVC decides to exercise its ROFR at. It won't matter that a new resort is open.

My guess is both the resale and ROFR prices will creep up with the SSR retail prices. I doubt you'll see a big jump and I suspect that the AKV and SSR prices will slowly separate over time and that the 2042 resorts will fall behind over time as well with a spread comparable to what what you see now.
