What happens - paperwork question

We recently added on 100 points. Well, the same day that all of my paperwork arrived in the mail, my 3 year old son ended up in the hospital and we have been here ever since. We have been here for over a week now and don't know when we will get out. Obviously with all this going on we failed to get the paperwork filled out and sent back to DVC in the 7 days they give you. Now what? They have charged my CC the down payment and we have called our guide twice now about it but have not heard back from him. Are we out our contract and out our deposit as well?

On the paperwork, there is a number to call if you have questions. I would try that instead of your guide. I'm sure if you explain, everything will be fine. They might have to send new paperwork, but call that number ASAP.

First of all, I hope your son recovers quickly.

Regarding the DVC paperwork, although it says you must return it within 7 days, I believe you actually have a longer time frame than that, though I don't know exactly how long. Call Quality Assurance (their number is in the folder with your paperwork) and explain the situation. They should be able to put your mind at ease about this.
 
Your contract will stay "in the system" for 60 days and they will extend that if necessary. The 7 day language is just there to help speed you toward closing. Trust me, they will still want your money in 15 days.
