:) Hi, I am not sure if this question has been asked. In the event of bad weather, (ceremony in December) and you have an intimate ceremony planned, where does the ceremony take place?? We were looking at Seabreeze Point at the Boardwalk. Does anyone know?? Thanks

According to my Planning kit it says "My Ceremony is outside- What if it rains? the answer is In the chance if inclement weather, your coordinator will find the best possible location for the wedding and reception to take place. Your coordinator will notify all the appropriate areas to let them know there will be a location change."

Don't stress too much your coordinator will take care of you.

We were scheduled for SeaBreeze Point in July 05. It was sprinkling and we didn't want to chance it....we were moved into The Attic. It was beautiful! I loved it more than the outside!

We were planning a December wedding at SBP ( we recently switched to the WP) but, the standard backup location is a Boardwalk Ballroom or at least that is what is said in our contract. I guess if you have to switch on that day, then they just select the best location possible that is available, but I believe one of the Ballrooms is the standard. I am sure any of the locations would be beautiful though. I wouldn't worry too much about it! Plus, I think December is supposed to be the driest month!!

Disney will always have a backup. If you want something special, you can ask and see if they have it available. Our wedding was at the Uk Pavilion. Our backup was supposed to be Norway, but I asked for AAR instead. I would have been happy with AAR if it rained. AAR was not booked so I was able to get it. Also, what you have for your outside ceremony is what you have for your indoor. You can't add stuff at the last minute. Just throught I would share!

Usually it's the closest available ballroom. But I'm sure your EM will work with you as much as possible. We had asked about the WP as a back up, and our EM actually looked into it as an option (when I woke up to rain, and was panicing) but it was booked at the time I'd of needed. I don't know where I'd of ended up as it ended up turning sunny and beautiful, thankfully. But my EM was great the whole morning, calling with weather updates, and making sure I wasn't too worried over it until it was deffinatly drying off. So don't sweat it too much. Unless it's that morning like me. Otherwise you have months and months to pray, and ask Santa for sunny weather. Plus December is the lowest rain month in Disney (one reason I picked it too)

:bride: Thanks to everyone for your responses. I can not believe I am stressing over this already and we are months away!! :rotfl: I feel better knowing that a ballroom would be an alternative site!!

I will hope that Santa and Mickey will sprinkle our day with lots of Pixie Dust!!

Hope everyone has a great night!! princess:

Im the same mine is in December so im hoping for a nice dry day. I spoke to my EM about what back up we had and at the moment the only thing available in the yacht/beach club is Ariels - which is ok but wont really go with anything i have for it so we're looking at having the wedding pavillion as a back up now. Or maybe the attic at the boardwalk - but i havent seen any pictures of this so not sure what its like!

I loved the Attic!!! I am so happy we ended up there. It literally looks like somebody's (very neat) attic. Apparently, a lot of the Disney execs. use it for private parties.

I may have more from my own camera. I will check. Sorry about the photos....wasn't thrilled with Disney photographer but that is another post! My only advice with the Attic is to check where your pictures would be. We went outside for a few minutes and only took pics in one area. I would have liked to have stayed inside with some of the beautiful furnitures and areas in the Boardwalk.
