My question is this..... What happens if I make a PS for 12 people and only 8 show up? Am I penialized in some way?

With a group that size, you may be. I forget what the exact number is, but at some point, they start charging you $10/head for people who don't show up. You should get a firm committment from people, or maybe you can just plan to have them eat counter service meals with you.

for most restaurants the "group dining" is 13 or more people. Basically if they take your credit card then you need to be commited. if not then its ok.

I got married there in march and we had 50+ family and friends we wanted the same thing but with everybody runnung around to all the parksand some of them with kids it was hard to plan anything so everynight we just winged it and it worked out great whenver we where hungry we would eat with whoever was with us we did make one reservation the night after the wedding at Boma's with some of my family and then met some of my husbands family over at Pleasure island after dinner.

but with planning the wedding i could not imagine planning dinners for people on there vacation.

good luck it will all work out

I don't know, but that me be trying to plan too much. I'm only saying this because, if people don't show, it could have an adverse effect on your "good time".

I agree with Jen. Just winging it might be a better idea. OR, just a pick a few people at a time and see if they'd be interested in eating another meal with you.........2 people for one meal, 4 people the next, 3 people the next, etc. Make sure they know that they have to commit to this if they're interested......due to PSs.

We did the same thing for our wedding. We had 15 guests fly in and when they checked into their respective resorts we had "welcome packages" waiting for them. In them were rain ponchos, park maps, admission tickets to the parks, a itinerary which showed where we would be everyday and where we would be eating each night. It worked out wonderfully. We did the parks 4 days and then DTD one day, we rented boats and played around one day. Then the ladies all had tea at the Grand, and then men all went for beer and wings at ESPN Club for our bachelor/bachelorette parties! We had the wedding and then dinner afterwards. This was the most wonderful week ever!

Everyone showed up for dinner each night and actually each family took turns paying for everyone. So it worked out great.

Have a great time and don't forget to enjoy yourself!
