What happens if your late for scheduled port arrival time??

Can anyone tell me what might happen if I show up late for my port arrival time?? The hotel I'm staying at changed what time their shuttle leaves and now I will be about an hour late for my port arrival. Will I end up waiting a long time to get on the ship?? Thinking about switching hotels/transportation.

I think the port arrival time is more to keep 3,000 people from showing up at 10:30am. From what I understand, your port arrival time is the *earliest* you can check-in, so if you arrive an hour late (as long as it's before the cut off time!) you should breeze right through.

Honestly, this will be our 3rd DCL cruise and I've never had to wait more than 20 minutes or so from entering the terminal, to walking on the ship.

No problem if you arrive later than your time. They are used to delayed flights, etc. People change their planned transportation after they sign up for an arrival time. Your boarding card is still tied to your scheduled arrival time, and you are after your time so you'll walk into the terminal without any difficulty. Hakuna matata.
