My husband registered to run the springtime surprise 5k with a group of us and now he can’t run. He’s been diagnosed with spondylolisthesis and so his doctors told him no running. No high impact anything. To be honest he can barely walk. He’s had cortisone and meds, had a hip replacement when they got the diagnosis wrong (oh trust me that was fun) and now they are considering fusing his spine. Has anyone ever successfully transferred their registration? We are running for a charity and I feel so bad even asking, but I know someone would love to be able to run and he clearly can’t. Should we just raise the funds and he skips the race?

You should contact the charity to see if they provide any options. I think some of them have waiting lists and they may be able to transfer it internally without messing with runDisney who officially has a no transfer policy.
