What happens if my party "shrinks"?

UGH! We have an entire 9 days of FP+ and ADRs set up for less than one month from now and our plans were with another couple. Now, due to a work issue, they won't be able to come, so that leaves our party 3 people short.

I tried to go back in and rebook our ADRs with only the 5 of us, but there is (of course) no availability. Will they change my ADR to a smaller party size if I call? If I show up with fewer people, will they seat me? What if I show up earlier in the day and explain?

I'm so upset that my friends can't come, first and foremost. But if we lose DDs birthday dinner at BOG, I will be doubly verklempt!

Downsizing a party doesn't matter at all for ADRs. Just tell the host/ess when you check in that part of your party couldn't make it.

You'll be fine because it is always easier to show up with fewer than your reservation. You can just tell the castmembers at the podium that 3 were unable to make it and as long as at least one person shows up for the reservation you will not be charged for the missing ones. You can call the reservation line, if you wish, but make certain the reservation castmember understands that you are just modifying the reservation, NOT cancelling it.

The only reservations I would call and modify to the correct number of people are any pre-paid ones, such as the dinner shows, CRT and the dessert parties, so that you are refunded for the ones who are no longer coming.
