What happens if I sign up for Magical Express & then don't use it?

First some background.

We are going to WDW 10/2 - 10/7. At first is was just DH & myself so we rented through National's Emerald Isle a few months ago & got a very good price of $98 for the 6 days.

Now friends will be joining us (3 - 2 adults & 13yr old). I know 5 of us fitting into an intermediate car on EA with luggage will be very tight if we fit at all.

The best price so far that I can get for a full size from National's Emerald Reserve using Priceless code & Entertainment coupon is $240 (EA is up to $215) I really hate to spend that much knowing I have the EA for $98. I am going to continue to check rates right up until we leave and hope that the cost of a full size comes down.

Now for my question.

I was thinking of signing up for Magical Express so that if we can't get a full size car and we can't squeeze into the intermediate on EA, then 2 of us can take the car with all the luggage and do a grocery stop and the other 3 of us can take the Magical Express bus. If we do this and we all can fit in a car on EA, would it be ok to just not show up for Magical Express?

I know we can use the other option of a Town Car Service with a grocery stop, but we really like having a car with us to drive around WDW if we so choose.

Check the rates for pick up at WDW. National and Alamo have desks at the Car Care Center (complimentary transportion from your resort) or at the Dolphin. I originally had a Nat'l EA ressie picking up and dropping off at MCO. But I found a much better rate with the same codes I found on mousesavers, by picking up at the Car Care Center, and of course still dropping off at MCO. Not only was the rate lower, but by picking the car up later on arrival day, I save the cost of one day's rental cost too.

We booked ME before our trip last week but decided to get a rental car instead. When we got to the airport I stopped and talked to one of the ME people waving the mickey hand and asked if I needed to tell anyone that we weren't using ME. She said unless we had put the luggage tags on, which we hadn't, we didn't need to worry about it.
