I just looked at the old kids club's activity planners on castawayclub.com and I have a question. I noticed that there are breaks in activities for 15 minute intervals. For example lunch might be from 12-12:45 and the next activity is from 1-1:45. You can sign the kids in for a couple of hours and they will take them from activity to activity right?

The kids often move in a group around the ship, and that time is used to physically change location. You can't sign kids in and out while they are changing location, so keep that in mind in your planning! The CMx move the kids and the CM laptops....

If you follow the rules and plan the times for pick up and sign in according to the navigator you will have no problems. We did this and everything went smoothly on 3 cruises. I could not believe the amount of complaining I heard from people when they were told they could not sign in or pick up therir kids, just follow the times. The CM have enough on their hands trying to keep everything in order, and they do watch the kids. One time we went to the club to check, ours was not leaving but followed us out the gate because he wanted to look at the navigator they had in the rack, he was called back very fast and told he was not signed out. A safety factor I like.

Just to clarify, there are only CERTAIN times that you can sign the kids in and out or can you sign them in and out whenever they are doing a planned activity and not moving from one to another?

You can sign you kids in and out any time with the exception of the 15 minute "Transition Time" or anytime they are in the Movie Theater. These are for security and safety reasons.

If your kids are older (mine were 11 on our cruise) they can sign themselves in and out if it is OK with you. Our sons knew to have the CM page us to say they were leaving and meet us in our stateroom. The CM suggested that this is a good policy and it worked GREAT for our family. you'll get a page that "your 10-12 yo has left the lab and is going to your stateroom"

Now this doesn't mean you won't have to drag them out of the lab sometimes on your own!!
