What happens at your closing? anyone ever go?

I just finally realized that for my closing Dec 2nd I'll actually be in FL. That is the day before my MIL and I leave for my very first cruise. We had planned on taking Dec 2nd to check out Vero Beach.
What happens at the closing? Are we notified after? The bills start coming?

Depending on state regulations, etc. , I'd guess it's like closing on a regular home purchase. It is simply the day that the deeds are recorded, your taxes begin, and title is transferred, anypayments are transferred out of an escrow acct. All paperwork, nothing to see.

I simply received a letter from DVC stating the date my deed was recorded. I did not received the actual deed until 2 months later.
I have never heard of anyone on this board stating they had actually attended their closing. Hope this helps.
