What happens at closing

what is the closing process when you go sign all the paper work?

We did ours at Saratoga Springs but it should be about the same.
Our guide first went over carefully all the membership terms such as points, when they should be banked etc. She collected our CC for the down payment and took it to the Quality Control rep.
Then the Quality Control representative came in with all the various forms to sign- DVC agreement, Deed, financial paperwork etc. He gave us our beige DVC bag, carefully went over all the paperwork step by step and we signed where indicated. The whole process probably took about 45 minutes and then we were done and received the first "Welcome Home".
They really make it painless!!! It's no harder than buying a new car

Um - probably a stupid question, but here goes:

Are there closing costs?

yes, ours will be $251 or so. we are doing only a 100 point new purchase.
you can either pay it at closing or finance them.
