What happened to this guy?

Does anybody know what happened to Robo? He posted like crazy, like it was his own message board for many years and then just dropped out in January 2022.

I know people come and go all the time, but he was very active. It seemed these forums were his life.

This exactly! I miss both of them so much. I can't tell you how much money, time & effort both of them saved me during my first stages of Disney World trips years ago.

Ah yes, Cheshire Figment. It has been a long time since I saw that name. He was a CM, wasn't he? Didn't he have a disability and he offered a lot of great advice to people with disabilities? He passed as well?

I was curious too. I don't believe he was especially "old"--maybe late 40s-early 50s? I think he worked for Disney, but as a remote worker, maybe a call center outside of Florida?

Many, many people passed quite young between 2021 - 2023. We lost several ourselves. Unexpected. I think if Robo was sick, he would have posted here. He knew he was an integral part of these forums.

I've tried to contact Ray over the past several years, email, text, phone calls. no response. Was that a public (not sure if that is the right FB term) posting on FM, MN? Ray was one of my Disney buddies on many, many WDW trips in the December time frame in years past.

It was on WDW Radio Clubhouse's FB page, a post by Lou Mongello from Sept 18. It looks like cancer, from doing some more digging.

Or the shots. My uncle died from a massive heart attack within 3 hours of his. Same for a cousin, about 2 days later. No heart problems before that. Many of my co-workers died from heart issues in 2022, I want to say we lost close to 45 in a 5-month span. Just heartbreaking.

Sorry to hear. I am saddened by more and more long time contributors, (here and on other groups I frequent) passing on - people I've never met in IRL, but somehow feel I know intimately well through their hundreds or thousands of posts and comments over the years.

Especially those we've connected with in particular: the ones who commiserated with us on similar experiences; shared needed laughs or gave/received help that made a difference in someone's trip - or even their life.

Covid was brutal. A co-worker lost 6 family members in 3 months in the days before the vaccine.

Yes, it was brutal for sure. We lost our very best, life long friend, about a month before the vaccines became available. What a god send those have been, millions of deaths and untold numbers of hospitalizations prevented. I just had my 9th COVID shot yesterday and it's o my calendar for my 10th 6 months from now.
