What Happened to the rent/trade forum?

I just went there and it seems to be up and running. (Personally I would be glad to see it go, but..... )

Weird...it was down for about a half-hour and now it's back. Seriously, it was gone everywhere from the DVC main page to the forum jump menu. Oh well, another quirk of the DISboards.

The R/T forum was changed, on Tuesday, to now only allow registered users, who are currently logged in, to view it.

Anyone who in the past was just a lurker and had been viewing the r/t board, will now need to get a username registered and log in before they can view the board.

Another strong, positive action to protect everyone's security and happiness! Congratulations AGAIN to the Rent/Trade Board Moderators - We love you!

Best wishes,
Dave

Great improvement! Only thing better would be to charge a fee (I mean it is advertising, isn't it?) or eliminate it completely :rolleyes1

I would hate to see it eliminated....renting points is what got me interested in purchasing DVC.

:confused3 How does this "protect everyone's security and happiness!" At last check anyone could register including mass murders in jail......

I have no issue with making it open only to registered users, but if you are either the renter or rentee this really does nothing to "protect" you.

(And I agree it's advertising)
