What Happened to the Purple Van Posts?

There used to be a semi-regular posting on this forum called 'The Everyday Adventures of the Purple Van'. The poster, jvdm, would post pictures from all around Orlando, mainly noting the very interesting features of the various parks and resorts.
I can't find that thread anymore, nor can I find it on any forum!

I miss those interesting anecdotes.

You are right, Tower. I just checked my subscriptions and it is no longer there. I loved the pictures that John of Owner's Locker put on the site, always trying to guess where they came from before I read the description.

As a (very) long time member of DIS, my guess is that Owner's Locker is no longer a sponsor of this site, and, as such, will no longer be posting.

Yep, already registered for it, but it's much more convenient when it's found on DIS.

I just did a search, and John (jdvm) was on this morning . AND the Holiday pics are still available to see. Don't want to guess or assume. Glad that he is still on the boards. (and wish that he could do some Hallowe'en holiday pics for us stuck away from the parks)

Darn Shame John. Always loved your input of that nature on this board. Almost made me want to get a locker! (except we don't go down to FL enough to justify it.)

Thanks, John for letting us know. It was such an interesting thread and a good not so in your face marketing tool for you as well. The Owner's Locker is a wonder idea - wish I had a need for it to support your company, but unfortunately my trips to WDW are few and far between. It would have been neat to see a Halloween decoration thread with the holiday up an coming.

I really miss the Purple Van thread, too. The little picture perspectives remind me more of the resort than the grand vistas. It was such a lift to see the little reminders.
