What happened to the parades?

From what I've read, The Electrical Parade is down until summer, as they are replacing the Blue Fairy for Tinkerbell.....that's what I hear.
Talking with a castmember via phone, the paving should be done prior to our trip on March 7 & she even hinted that we possibly could see run-thrus of the new parade.....so we'll see.
It will be very weird to not have DEP or POD running this trip, as we always schedule those in & really enjoy them. Pixar Play Parade is running, so we'll get our parade fix.

Would it be possible for you to post back on this thread and let us know if you catch anything currently not scheduled or the fireworks during your trip?

I'm in DL 1.5 to 2 weeks after you and I'd love to know (of course I know you might luck out and it might not happen during my dates, but the anticipation would still be fun)

The new parade is to start March 27th officially....is that during your stay? I'll try & remember to post back after the trip. I know we get fireworks every night we're there.....it shows that on the Disneyland site calendar....yeah cuz those are my favorite!!!

I won't be there till the 19th. Great to hear the fireworks will be back for you! I have to wait a few more days before the hours/schedules for my dates will be available.

I would also love to know if you get to see the new parade! We're headed down Mar. 21-26th and I was a little more then bummed to miss the new parade by 1 day!!

The Electrical Parade is usually also shown on Fri, Sat, and Sun in April, May, and early June.

Wow, this is great. Some of our friends are going to a trip on the first week of June. Hopefully they will enjoy it.

I am going to Disneyland for 1 day on Tuesday 24th Feb and thought I would get to see fireworks. It's sooooo sad.

Does anyone know if Fantasmic runs during the week? I can't seem to find the information anywhere. If it does then at least there is something to see.

Disney without fireworks = miserable sweetpeajoey

Yes, they are currently running F! nightly, weather permitting.

The Disneyland calendar just started working again and I see that there are 2 Fantasmics on the Sunday night (instead of the Tuesday) and longer park hours..... thinking I should brave the crowd for the longer hours and the fact I could go to the later showing of Fantasmic and get a better view?

I would definitely go later on Sunday. You'll get a better seat and it will be a great experience.
